The placement cell helps the students get summer internships along with job opportunities in Himalayan Hospital, AIIMS, Apollo Hospitals, Max Healthcare, Fortis Healthcare, and Medanta Hospital.  Here is detailed information on training and opportunities provided to the students of all the departments under HIMS:

• Medical Studies: The institute has a Cadaveric Lab to train postgraduates and practicing surgeons. Students get an opportunity to train themselves with top medical institutions like Medanta- The Medicity, Max Healthcare, FORTIS, Zydus, premier Pharma companies, and CROs.

• Epidemiology: Students get a chance to interact with well-known epidemiologists and researchers. Students also participate in various projects to get field-based experience. These projects work in collaboration with institutions like Johns Hopkins University, UNDP, AIIMS, KGMU, PGIMER, etc.

The students get placed in various government and private sectors as an epidemiologist. These include WHO, ICMR, CDC, MoHFW, SIHFW, UNICEF, PATH, UNDP, NGOs, etc.

• Paramedical Sciences: The institute nurtures the student’s theoretical and applied skills like postings, patient interaction, training on dealing with invasive procedures, and exposure to critical patients. This training makes the student competent paramedical personnel who can get placed in Hospitals, Public Health Laboratories, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Instrument Sectors, Rehabilitation Centres, and Research. The department organises several workshops, CMEs, and practical training programs as well.

• Hospital Administration: Students of this course are trained to deal with challenges faced by hospital managers and administrative staff. They are made well aware of all the difficulties one might face while running a healthcare facility.

The students get placed in numerous public, private, and NGOs and get the responsibility of Managing Hospitals, Health Care Consultants, Healthcare Facility Planners, Hospital Department Specific Managers/ Administrators/ Directors, etc.
