The Department of Chemical Engineering, established in 2012, has an intake capacity of 60 students for the undergraduate course in chemical engineering. The B.Tech/B. E. (chemical engineering) program is a fulltime, on-campus program with an academic duration of four years. Highly experienced and qualified faculty members offer instructions on myriad aspects related to chemical engineering like a cooling tower, distillation columns, semi-batch, and batch reactors, and so on.
Students carry out extensive and in-depth research work in the domains of process control, reaction engineering, and mass transfer with digital interfacing in 11 laboratories. Once the students are through with this undergraduate program, they acquire the capability to create, transform, transmit, and use chemicals, energy, and materials by harnessing their knowledge in life sciences, mathematics, economics, and natural sciences. The industry-oriented curriculum equips the students with the wisdom and skills for contributing effectively in any firm engaged in the chemical engineering sector.
In order to qualify for this undergraduate engineering program, the student must pass the final exam of XII Std. from any recognized central or state education board. Additionally, two of the compulsory subjects must be physics and mathematics with biology/computer science/chemistry as one of the electives. The candidate must attain a minimum aggregate score of 45%.
Those who hold an engineering diploma (having achieved at least 45% in aggregate) can apply via the lateral entry mode. The lateral entry system enables the student to start studying directly from the 2nd year of the program.
The Computer Science and Engineering Department set up in 1994, registers a maximum of 184 students for the 4-year B.E. /B. Tech program. The CSE department feels proud in presenting a congenial didactic setting typified by smart classrooms and seasoned faculty members. The innovatively designed course curriculum arms students with a solid grounding in software engineering, parallel processing, artificial intelligence, ad-hoc networks, image processing, soft computing, data mining, cloud computing, and network security.
The department supervises 10 advanced computer laboratories housing innumerable workstations loaded with the latest software and reinforced by wireless and high-speed Ethernet networks. Computer science and engineering graduates demonstrate abilities to tap computer networking and operating system, software engineering, database management system, and data structure. They also imbibe the knowhow to design and devise software projects by exploiting open-source software tools and computer science postulates.
Founded in 1999, the Department of Information Technology offers a total of 120 seats for the B. E. /B. Tech program. DIT has laboratories dedicated to networking, RDBMS, project, and programming equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, a computer center, and a well-stocked library. The syllabus readies students to excel in information technology by inculcating core competencies for innovating, framing, and researching on basic engineering problems.
The minimum eligibility criterion for this program is a pass in the higher secondary examination with mathematics and physics as mandatory subjects. One of the electives should be biology, chemistry or computer science. The candidate has to secure a minimum of 45% in aggregate to secure admission.
The LNCT Pharmacy School, an associate college of the LNCT Group of Colleges offers the 4-year B. Pharm. Program. The B. Pharm. The course is a fulltime on-campus program that enjoys approval from the Pharmacy Council of India. Pharmacy graduates develop the competency to deliver effective and quality healthcare by innovating new modes of treatment and care management.
The students come to know about modules that emphasize on pharmacology, pharmaceutics, physiology, human biology, and chemistry. The pupils pick up knowledge on medications and clinical practice, drugs, and prescriptions, and how to respond to a gamut of scenarios. Aspirants must clear the 10+2 examination from a certified state or central education board with chemistry and physics as compulsory subjects and Biology/mathematics/biotechnology as one of the optional subjects.
