Government Holkar Science College

The college has a Swami Vivekananda Career Guidance and Counseling Cell & Placement Cell which works dedicatedly to provide job opportunities to students. The Cell grooms its students by identifying their strengths and weaknesses and makes them ready for the industrial world. The various activities undertaken by the Cell include industry training sessions, internships, workshops, and more. It also helps students by developing their resume writing skills, interview techniques, etc.

The college is developed on 34.5 acres of land in an area between Bhanwar Kua and the Kamla Nehru Zoological Park, Indore, M.P. There are three major blocks namely Academic Block, Siddhivinayak Block, and the Red Building. The infrastructures of the campus include over 30 buildings. Main Building, Red Building, Chemistry Block Building, and Yashwant Hall are among the several buildings present in the campus. Cultural and other programs are conducted in the Heritage mini auditorium called, Yashwant Hall and multipurpose open stage built in the centre of the campus. Apart from these facilities, other facilities present in the college campus are mentioned in the points below:

• Library: The library is housed in a double storey building spread over 25,500 square feet area. The library collection includes 72,000+ volumes in 46,000+ titles, 5,500+ bound volumes, 700+ thesis, 550+ donated books, etc. It has over 45 computers to access e-learning resources. Readers can avail the following services and facilities in the library: Reprography, Study Hall, Scanning, Book-Bank, OPAC, Periodical Section, and more.
• ICT Facilities: For efficient teaching and learning the campus is equipped with ICT infrastructure facilities like smart boards, computers, projectors, visualisers, interactive flat panel display, virtual labs, and more. For research scholars there are research laboratories and six new computing laboratories have been set-up recently. There are 57 classrooms and 52 laboratories with 600 computers. A Language Lab with 25 computers and a Simulation laboratory was also established in the campus.
• Hostel: The College has a boys hostel and Faculty and staff members are accommodated in the staff quarters.
• Sports: Students are provided sports facilities for outdoor games like football, handball, volleyball, basketball, athletics, kabaddi, kho-kho, lawn tennis, and various other games. The Yashwant Hall in the campus houses the indoor games facilities for games like carrom, chess, wrestling, table tennis, and more. Yoga facility exists in the campus to provide training on meditation and to conduct a program on International Yoga Day. There are 4 Open Gymnasiums in the campus.
• Medical Facilities: A dispensary and a health centre were opened in the campus to provide medical assistance to the students and staff.
• Other Facilities: Bank and ATM, Media Centre, Museum, Seminar Halls, Coffee House, Butterfly Park, Mushroom Cultivation Garden, and more.
