The Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandir Trust was established in 1999 by Gurudev Ravi Shankar. Its purpose was to establish an educational wing of Art of Living, to promote holistic education in stress free and child-friendly environment.

SSCASR owns a 100-bed hospital where students perform their clinical studies. One of the main aims behind setting up this hospital is to revive ancient Ayurvedic treatments. It offers various other remedial programs.
Under Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Trust regularly holds Medical Camps in rural areas especially in villages where the necessary facilities are lacking. The SSRVM includes all the facilities that are the pre-requirements of the students. The college has a huge library, with a collection of more than 3500 labels in Ayurveda and few other books for references including various National and International journal and magazines that are also available for the students and staff.
There are spacious playgrounds for both indoor and outdoor games supplemented with coaches or the physical trainers. The motive of giving coaching to students is to encourage the sportsman spirit and promote them to take part in several interstate and national sports competitions. There is awell-resourced gym with appropriate equipments for the staff as well as students.
There are about 300 species of medicinal plants which include rare and local species. It has a spread in an area of over 6 acres. It is maintained to familiarize students with each species. The college has a well-developed pharmacy for research and training. It includes various products manufactured and marketed under brand Sri Sri Ayurveda.
