Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sri Sri College (SSCASR) offers BAMS course that is approved by the CCIM, sanctioned by AYUSH, Government of India and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore affiliates it.
Eligibility Criteria- The course opens to all candidates who fulfill the education, age, and other requirements of RGUHS, Bangalore. For BAMS course admission, applicants must complete the age of 17 years.
Candidates must have passed two year PUC exams of PU Education Board, Bangalore or an equivalent exam recognized by Government of India. The subjects must include English and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, & Biology). The minimum aggregate marks obtained in PCB should be 50% for general candidates and 40% marks for SC and ST candidates.
Duration- The vocational course stretches for five and a half years that comprise of three segments each of eighteen months. The students have to undergo compulsory training for one year as wellapart from the academic course.
On completing the course successfully along with the internship training, students will get BAMS degree or Ayurved acharya.
Doctorate of Medicine (M.D)
It is a three-years-full-time course of post graduation level. The course is available in the streams of Dravya Guna, Samhitas, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana. The other PG courses are offered in Shalyatantra, Kayachikitsa, Prasuti Tantra and Basic Principles.
