General Nursing is a diploma of three and a half years that imparts knowledge in the domain of healthcare and nursing. Candidates willing to take admission in this course must have passed 10+2 with Chemistry, Physics and Biology subjects with a minimum of 55% marks. A minimum aggregate of 45% is necessary for English and Science subjects. The candidate must be mentally and physically fit.

The specializations offered are Pediatric (Child Health) Nursing, Community Health Nursing, (Psychiatric) Mental Health Nursing, Gynecological, and obstetric nursing.
Candidates willing to take admission must have completed Basic B.Sc Nursing or B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) or B.Sc Nursing (Post Certificate) of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or equivalent to RGUHS. Candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks.
Post Certificate B.Sc is a two-year program that imparts skills and knowledge to the students to become successful nurses. Candidates willing to take admission must have cleared Pre University exams in Science/Arts/Commerce commenced by Pre University Education Department, Karnataka or equivalent recognized by RGUHS. Must hold a diploma in GNM and have knowledge of the English language.
Candidate must be medically fit with good professional as well as personal background. A maximum age criterion is of 48 years. After the successful completion of the nursing course, students get employment opportunities in clinical nursing and public health nursing.
