National College of Pharmacy Shimoga

The placement cell of the National College of Pharmacy Shimoga helps students secure jobs with lucrative packages. Students are given the opportunity to participate in grooming sessions wherein they are trained in communication skills, presentation skills, corporate dressing tips, etc. Mock interviews, seminars, guest lectures, etc. are regularly conducted by the cell. Recent graduates have been placed in leading pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca, Biocon, Tata Consultancy, Mylan Labs, Himalaya Wellness Company, Reddy’s Lab, Sun Pharma, Johnson & Smith Pharmaceutical, Accenture, Liveon Biolabs, Novo Nordisk, etc. Students have been recruited in Central and State Government Drug Control Departments as well as academic and research institutes.

National College of Pharmacy has a 20-acre campus located in Shimoga, Karnataka. The college provides a multi-gym, canteen, playground, and parking facility for students. The campus facilities include:

• Hostel: The college has a furnished girls hostel close to the campus. Students living on campus are provided nutritious food within the hostel.
• Lecture halls: The lecture halls are spacious and equipped with AV facilities like projectors, OHPs, etc.
• Laboratories: The labs are spacious and well-built with equipment required for practical application of concepts learned in the classroom.
• Library: The college has a Central Library with a collection of 14,000+ books and national and international journals. The library also has subscriptions to 5,000 e-journals accessible through the HELINET consortium.
• Seminar hall: The college seminar hall has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with screens, cordless microphones, projectors, LCDs, etc.
• Medicinal garden and animal house: The college campus has maintained herbal plants in the medicinal garden. An animal house was built for experiments as per CUPA and CPCSEA guidelines.
