The Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital campus lie in Dodaballarpura, a historical town located close to India’s tech capital-Bangalore. The campus lies at the crossroads of numerous interstate and national highways and therefore one can access the institution conveniently. The serene atmosphere prevailing at the campus together with the verdant landscape instinctively inspires the students to concentrate on studies.
The laboratories comprise well-developed dissection theater, analytical and pharmacognosy laboratories, a pathology laboratory, a physiology laboratory, and a modernized central laboratory. The central library houses over 11,000 textbooks, including current referential manuals and traditional manuscripts pertaining to various aspects of Ayurveda.
The library also subscribes to various magazines and periodicals related to diverse research and teaching subjects. The digital library stocks 531 videos, 5526 e-books, and over 300 academic databases, and 2015 medical e-journals. There are multiple workstations installed with a range of software as well as broadband connectivity.
The pharmacy of Atreya Medical College and Hospital has a separate section dedicated to manufacturing medicines and a hands-on training section. The training room can accommodate 50 students for imparting them training on preparing herbs-mineral and herbal formulations. Every department has its own museum that in unison display over 500 human specimens have been preserved and indexed for in-depth observation.
All classrooms come equipped with up-to-date audiovisual tools and every classroom can seat a maximum of 100 students. The classrooms are well-ventilated, spacious, and contain all the necessary teaching and learning aids. All academic celebrations and sessions are organized in a distinct seminar hall.
The hospital compound, including the building, sprawls across an area of 10 acres that houses the basic facilities including a pharmacy, canteen, classrooms, museums, and hostel blocks.
The campus also has a rambling botanical garden containing over 500 species of herbs. The herbal garden serves as the chief source for supplying raw materials that are used for preparing medicines for distributing in the hospital. Aspirants have to clear the 10+2/Intermediate examination of any approved state or central board of education for applying to the BAMS course. A vast playground in the middle of the campus becomes the stage for playing a range of games like cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball. Students, faculties, and administrative organize sports, social and cultural programs from time to time for enabling the students to showcase their creativity.
