The Oxford College of Nursing campus spans over 2 acres of land, with modern amenities for facilitating learning. In clinical facilities, the Center has a teaching multi-specialty hospital that offers specialized services. Also, for developing the practical skills of the students, the College houses a series of laboratories that have state-of-the-art equipment.
To strike a healthy balance between academics and extra-curricular activities, there are recreational rooms as part of the Oxford College of Nursing infrastructure. Here, the pupils can indulge in games such as Table Tennis, Carrom, and Chess, amongst others. The Center, also, organizes sightseeing trips and educational tours to encourage more interaction among the student community.
For ease in commuting, the students can avail the College’s transportation services. There is a fleet of buses to transport students to hospitals, and community centers, for imparting practical training.
Medical care is another benefit that the College offers to all. The students can go for regular medical check-ups; furthermore, there are doctors on call in cases of medical emergencies.
To create a homely atmosphere for the students, the College provides canteen services where hygienic fare is available, and at reasonable costs. Banking facilities and security provisions are other amenities that the Center provides.
For encouraging the students to take part in activities and for their welfare, the College has set up several committees. There is the anti-ragging committee, student welfare committee, library committee, curriculum committee, and research & ethical committee.
Besides, the College Student Nursing Association arranges a variety of cultural and sporting events for driving the holistic development of the students. Other initiatives of the SNA are fresher’s party and farewells, in addition to celebration of the varied festivals.
The College’s National Service Scheme (NSS) engages actively in a host of community outreach programs. The College’s NSS branch is overseen by the student volunteers, under the guidance of the NSS officer. The NSS takes up social activities like tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, diabetic screening camps, pulse polio campaigns, and other health awareness initiatives. For the economically-backward classes, the NSS arranges for regular health check-ups, too. To reduce HIV cases, the NSS has the Red Ribbon Club that undertakes programs to educate the youth population on the preventive measures to take.
