For students to maintain the hostel decorum, they are required to follow the Amity University Kolkata hostel rules set by the University mentioned below.

• There are separate hostel blocks for freshers and seniors, neither of them are allowed to enter each other hostel block.
• Freshers in the hostels are expected to come back to their rooms by 9 PM and for seniors, the timings are 10 PM.
• Any hostellers are not allowed to take scholars inside the hostel premises without the permission of authority.
• Students without ID cards are not allowed to enter the hostel.
• Ragging is strictly prohibited; strict actions will be taken against those who get involved in such acts.
• Hostellers involved in any activity of misconduct, violations or offences will lead to punishment or expulsion from the hostel.
• Allowing any unauthorised person inside the hostel is prohibited.
• It is not allowed for the hostellers to carry any fireworks or weapons inside the hostels; it can lead to strict actions.
• No electronic items such as heater, iron, stove, etc. are allowed inside the hostel room.
• It is to be noted that celebration of any party without the permission is not allowed within the hostels.
• Students outing on weekends require a day out-pass; an application must be submitted to the warden in advance. The pass will be applicable from 10 AM to 8 PM.
