Anandaa Social and Educational Trust established Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College in the year 1981. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is approved by the Medical Council of India. The college is one of the apex institutions among all the medical institutions in the city maintaining its reputation since its establishment and growing over the years. At present, the institution offers different medical courses including undergraduate and postgraduate specialization. The aim of the institution is to provide students with the best infrastructure and environment so they can nurture and develop skills related to medical practices.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College offers a full time five years course of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The college also offers 3-years postgraduate course in Doctorate of Medicine with different specializations and a 2-year full-time course of Master of Surgery. It also offers a 2-year full-time Postgraduate Diploma in different medical specializations. The selection of the candidates is based on the merit scores in the entrance exam of NEET and performance in the 10+2 examination.
