PES College of Pharmacy

Set up in the year 1982, the PES College of Pharmacy (PESCP) is traced to India’s Karnataka state’s Bangalore city. The College constitutes one of the campuses of the PES University that is ranked No. 1 in Karnataka under the ‘New Universities Under 5 years’ grouping as per the Karnataka State Universities Rating Framework (KSURF). The People Education Society (PES) that commenced operations during the year 1972 constituted the PES University.

Offering quality pharmacy education, the PESCP conducts courses at diploma, doctoral postgraduate and undergraduate levels to students who want to build their careers in the pharmacy sector and cater to the healthcare needs of society at large.

The College bears affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) at Bangalore. Moreover, the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited the PESCP. The College has, also, received the mandatory sanctions from the Government of Karnataka, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

At PESCP, the members work towards imparting knowledge and facilitating the students’ journey of becoming healthcare professionals, researchers, and pharmacists.

The College has six departments that conduct courses in varied Pharmacy disciplines: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Analysis.

As part of the PES College of Pharmacy in Bangalore admission procedure, the candidates have to read the eligibility criteria for the respective courses and apply accordingly. Be assured that the College does not discriminate between the aspirants, and admits individuals solely on merit basis.

The PES College of Pharmacy ranking in India is among the country’s top 10 institutions as per the June 2010’s edition of news magazine, the Week.

All of PES University’s campuses, including the PESCP campus, are constructed with the objective of creating a stimulating environment for aiding the pupils’ holistic development. The PESCP strives to make available all the facilities for enhancing the learning experience for the pupils, as well. As steps towards this initiative, the PES College of Pharmacy library has been developed over 50,000 square feet, providing a huge cache of educational resources, along with advanced audio-visual aids, for facilitating learning.

PESCP offers everything that the pupils need to develop their careers. Ranging from academic excellence to skill development to providing a nurturing environment to leading-edge infrastructural facilities – all are offered to the students for their evolution into professionals in their chosen pharmacy-related domains.

For the students’ overall development, they are constantly challenged – both in the classrooms and outside, too. Moreover, the faculty members work towards giving the pupils hands-on experience to enable them to face the many challenges at workplaces, at a later stage.

In addition to offering a novel education system that not only allows the students to delve deeper into their chosen discipline and focuses on sharpening the pupils’ skills, but the College also provides various platforms for collaborations to widen their perspective to becoming global citizens.

PES College of Pharmacy boasts of world-class infrastructure where the students can gain practical education, along with theoretical knowledge. As such, they are able to grasp the subject-related concepts and can apply them more effectively. Further, the students practice physiotherapy on each other for developing their practical skills.
