The KCN’s 4-year, full-time B.Sc. (Nursing) course commences during the months September/October. Out of the total 60 seat intake of this program, 48 seats are reserved for management quota; and 12 seats for government quota. The admissions of the management quota seats are on the basis of merit only, as per the RGUHS’s and INC’s guidelines. On the basis of the candidates’ scores in the Common Admission Test and counseling, the admissions ensue for the government quota seats.
The course’s eligibility criteria state that the applicants should clear their 10th or 12th standard exams while scoring minimum aggregate 45% marks to qualify.
For the students who have cleared their 10th standard exams, their subjects in combination have to include Biology, English, Chemistry, and Physics.
In the case of the pupils who have given their 12th standard exams, their mandatory subjects have to be English, Biology (B), Physics (P), and Chemistry (C). Further, their combined scores of PCB are to be minimum 45% marks.
The College’s M.Sc. in Nursing program is a full-time one, having 2-year duration. There are a total of 10 seats, with the inclusion of Management quota’s 8 seats and Government’s quota 2 seats. Here, again, similar to the B.Sc. (Nursing) course, the College offers the management quota seats on merit basis. For the government pupils, they have to appear for the Common Admission Examination (PGCET) and counseling as per RGUHS’ instructions.
The B.Sc. (Nursing) and Post Basic Bachelor in Nursing graduates are eligible for this course. Moreover, the B.Sc. (Nursing) graduates are to have mandatory 1-year clinical experience to qualify.
Under the College’s M.Sc. in Nursing program, there is a choice of 3 specializations that the students can opt for: Paediatric Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, and Obstetrics and Gynaecological. The minimum age to apply is 17 years.
The KCN’s Diploma in GNM course is a 3-year, full-time, undergraduate-level program, including 6 months of internship. The course commences in October, with intake of 60 seats.
The 10th or 12th standard pupils who have scored minimum 40% aggregate marks can apply. Also, their age range should be between 17-35 years. However, there are no age restrictions for certified ANM professionals.
