Patna Law College was established in July, 1909 with an aim of imparting legal education. Initially, the legal studies were conducted at the Patna College which was affiliated with Calcutta University. Later in 1952, the college was operated as a government institution and got its affiliation under Patna University. The college is approved by the Bar Council of India and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college offers an LL.B program at the UG level for a duration of 3 years.
