Presidency University is a part of decorated PGI, that is made up of 1 large university and 7 different Schools and they are School of Engineering, School of Law, School of Commerce, School of Management, School of Information Science, School of Design, & School of Media Studies. The university offers various programmes to the students at UG and PG levels in domains such as commerce, information technology, and management and journalism. While the schools under their tutelage offers National as well as International Boards for Studies. The university came into force in the year 2013 and have all the necessary approvals of that from UGC, or the AICTE among others.

That college offers various Undergraduate and Postgraduate Commerce & Management programmes, MCA program, and a Business School. Eligibility for B. Tech and M. Tech – For B. Tech program, the student should have at least 45% and should have had Math and Physics as the compulsory subjects, along with either of Computer/ Electronics/ Biology/ Biotechnology/or Chemistry. For the reserved category students, it’s 40%. Apart from this, the standard procedure is through Presidency University Entrance Test as the evaluation of that score is what that counts, if the other criteria are ok. After the qualifying exam, the students who are selected have to be available for a Personal Interview Round. Extra-curricular and sports activities or achievement are also taken into consideration. Likewise for M.Tech Program, the applicant has to have a bachelors degree in BE, B.Tech, or B.Sc with 50% for general category students and 45% for lower or reserved category students. They also have to undergo University Entrance Test, and then the PI round.
So, for other schools too, the university have more or less the same criteria. As for School of Law, the UG and PG program have same criteria as their set of subjects and University entrance in PULAT. So for all Presidency University Courses, the norms are more or less the same.

The industry connect of the university is such that the university has formed partnerships with companies like Home Lane, Club Mahindra, egis, PlanetSpark, RoyalOak, Tata AIG Insurance, HDFC Life, Bosch, Glencore, and Byju’s among others. As per 2021, placement statistics, 726 students were placed with an average package of 3.5 LPA. For PG, the placement rate of Presidency University was 72% which is huge as out of 572 PG Students, 412 were placed.
Over 60 acres of land boast greenery and providing its students an infrastructure that they must have dreamt of all their life. Some of the facilities available at the campus are mentioned below:
Hostels – Presidency University hostel facilities are upright with any other top-notch facilities that the campus has. Boys’ and girls’ hostel are separately located and the university soon will have a new off-campus hostel that will accommodate around 450 students. All the hostel rooms are furnished and have facilities like Wi-Fi, RO Water Purifier, Cupboard, Cot, and Chairs, etc. Every hostel has their own mess and the TV and common rooms are shared among the hostels. There’s an indoor playing area at the hostels. For girls, the bus is provided for Sunday outing to nearby town of Yelahanka. The rooms of the hostels are allotted randomly and one can’t change the room in-between.
Health Care Facilities – An in-house clinic at the campus is well facilitated with some beds and doctors on call. The clinic serves all the health issues faced by staff, faculties, or students at the campus. Besides that, the university also has MOUs signed with various hospitals of the city to treat the university students or staff on emergency basis, if any such situation arises.
Sports Facilities – At Presidency University, various outdoor and indoor sports facilities are provided to the students. Sports develop team spirit and a healthy mind and therefore students are encouraged to play sports at the university. Outdoor sports facilities at the campus include basketball, volleyball, football, hockey, cricket & kho-kho among others. In indoor facilities, the university has badminton courts, table tennis tables, and exercise rooms. The students are free to go and play or do their exercise regime. The university also has a class gymnasium. To make students fall in love with sports, there are instructors, and coaches of various sports who guide and help students develop the skill-set for that particular game.
