Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) - The School of Engineering, under Presidency University, enrolls students for the 4-year full-time B. Tech course approved by AICTE. This undergraduate course passes on wisdom and life skills to aspirants desirous of becoming engineers’ intent on making a mark. A student can choose from a wide range of engineering areas for the purpose of specialization. Some of these disciplines include civil, computer, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, information technology, computer and communication, and mechanical engineering.
To be eligible for this program, the applicant has to clear the 10+2/higher secondary final exam from an approved board. Besides, two of the compulsory subjects should be mathematics and physics and any one subject out of biology, chemistry or biotechnology. Also, the candidate must secure the minimum cut-off percentage in JEE (main), JEE (advanced), KCET, COMED-K or any national/state-level engineering entrance test.
Bachelor of Business Administration + Bachelor of Laws {BBA. LL.B} [Honors] - The ‘Bachelor of Business Administration + Bachelor of Law’ course is a combined 5-year, full-time, on campus program. The School of Law which offers the B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program monitors admissions for the course. The curriculum has been painstakingly developed keeping in mind the current state of affairs in the Indian legal system.
Highly renowned, experienced, and successful faculty members, some of whom are legal luminaries, guide the students in classrooms and also during internships. On completion of the course, the students can pursue a career as a budding legal professional. An applicant, who wants to study this program, should be a high school pass out.
He or she should have also achieved at least 45% marks in his or her 10+2 final exams in aggregate. The education board, from which the students received the pass certificate, should be a recognized one. At the same time, the aspirant should clear a national-level law entrance exam such as LSAT or CLAT.
The university also conducts an entrance test called PULAT (Presidency University Law Entrance Exam). Final selection is based on successful clearing of the institution’s evaluation test and personal interview session. This undergraduate course is approved by the Bar Council of India.
Bachelor of Commerce + Bachelor of Laws {B. Com. LL.B} - The B. Com, L. L.B. program is also a 5-year integrated undergraduate program that is recognized by the Bar Council of India. The course curriculum has been designed with meticulous care so as to ensure that students stand out in the legal field. The incorporated course equips students with knowledge about various legal specializations including income tax, environmental, criminal, civil, and cyber laws.
Once students complete the course, they can work in a legal firm or legal department of a global audit firm. After gaining extensive professional experience in their respective fields, they can start practicing independently. The eligibility criterions for this course are the same as the aforementioned BBA LLB (Hons) program.
Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws {B. A. LL.B} {Honors} - The B. A. LL.B (honors) program of Presidency University has a five-year schedule, like the above two undergraduate law programs. And like the aforementioned law courses, this program is recognized by the Bar Council of India. In order to secure admission to this course, the student has to fulfill specific norms and formalities that are again identical to B. Com. LL.B and B. A. LL.B. courses.
Master of Business Administration [MBA] - The School of Management’s MBA program is a 2-year course, spread across 4 semesters. This postgraduate program features a versatile syllabus that sharpens the skills of students, aspiring to become corporate managers and leaders. The core subjects are covered in the first year while the electives are completed in the 2nd and final year.
The student can specialize in finance, marketing, human resource management, operations & supply chain management, and business analytics. In addition, one can exploit the option of majoring or specializing in two separate streams, for instance ‘finance’ and ‘marketing’. The candidate, in order to qualify for the university’s MBA course, must have the degree certificate of an approved university.
Additionally, the aspirant must attain at least 50% marks in all subjects on an aggregate basis. At the same time, he or she should have achieved a high score in XAT, CAT, NMAT, MAT or any other national-level management entrance exam.
