Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai was established in 2014 and is amongst the premier National Law Universities of India. It was established with the purpose of promoting society-oriented research and impart legal education for the benefit of the society. It aims to become a centre of legal knowledge by inculcating secularism, liberty, justice, fraternity, equality, and humanism amongst the students. It is a State University approved by UGC.

MNLU has an Internship and Placement Cell which acts as a mediator between the employers and the students. It engages in various activities such as conducting workshops, seminars, mock interviews, pre-placement talks, conferences, etc. to utilise the maximum potential of the students.
