Index Institute of Dental Sciences

The infrastructural amenities available in Index Institute of Dental Sciences provide a friendly environment for the students to study and develop their dental skills. There are around 4 lecture theatres in the Institute that can accommodate around 110 students in each. These are equipped with latest AV aids and sound amplification facilities for improved learning experience of the students. Additional amenities are as follows:

• Library: The Central library can accommodate around 220 students and houses educational resources such as about 4262 books, approximately 85 journals, and e-library facilities that can be accessed through roughly 10 computers having Internet connectivity. Various departmental libraries are available in the Institute so that the students can access books and study resources.
• Laboratories: The departmental laboratories in the Institute provide preclinical and clinical training to the students. The chemical laboratory and departmental OPD is equipped with the latest dentistry instruments. The capacious medical laboratory has separate space for dry and wet dental routines.
  The scientific facilities available in the laboratories are electronic dental units, hydro solders, spot welders, lathe, plaster & stone dispensers, pressure moulding machine, model trimmer, etc. Additional facilities include a photography section, record room, orthodontics preclinical lab, sterilisation room equipped with autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners with ozonizers.
• Auditorium: The Institute has an air-conditioned indoor auditorium and an outdoor auditorium. Adequate sound amplification facilities and AV aids are installed in these auditoriums. A green room is available in the Institute with requisite preparation amenities.
• Seminar Room: The room is equipped with AV aids to train and educate the students.
• Cafeteria: Students have a variety of hygienic and healthy food options to choose from at affordable rates. The canteen and mess have ample seating space.
• Hostel: There are separate residential facilities for the boys and girls in the Institute premises. The hostel rooms are regularly maintained. The residents are provided with clean RO water facilities and hygienic food services. Common halls are available for the hostellers for recreational purposes. They are provided with round the clock security and emergency medical services including nursing and medical staff. Additional facilities include guest houses and food services for the residents’ parents.
• Sports: The sports infrastructures available in the College are a ground and a basketball court.
• Transport: Students are provided with transportation services in the city and the neighbouring areas.
