Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Cooch Behar established in 2001 is a State University, currently having 40th position in NIRF Ranking 2024. Since its inception in 2001, Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya has been providing academic programs and implementing strategies for the advancement of agricultural education and research. It is a UGC-approved State University. It is also recognised by ICAR.

The Campus Counselling and Placement Cell of Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is supervised and monitored by a Placement Officer, Committee Members, and a Student Representative. The Cell ensures that all the students are provided with equal opportunities to improve their skills and capabilities. The cell is responsible for gathering the data of industries and students to organise campus placement processes smoothly. It organises seminars, guest lectures, workshops, and other placement activities for students.
The campus of Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya has facilities like a well-stocked Central Library, Hostels, Sports facility, Computer Lab, Workshops, Farm, etc. for its students.
The academic resources at the library include 34000+ Books, 4000+ Journals, 30+ National and International Journals, e-Books, etc. Computers with internet facilities are installed within various departments of the university. A Student Computer Centre has been built within the campus. The campus also has a well-maintained Language and Communication Skill Development Laboratory. Here students are encouraged to enhance their personalities and communication skills. All the hostels of the university have basic facilities such as Common Rooms, Dining Room, Modular Kitchen, Wi-Fi, and other amenities.
