Under the management of Mahayana Theravada Buddhist Religious and Charitable Trust, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University was established in the year 2008. The University is UGC and AICTE approved and got accreditation from NAAC, DCI, PCI, INC, BCI, NCTE, and IAP.
The University’s vision is to impart technical and professional skills, education as well as research opportunities to students in order to make them fit in the world scenarios while maintaining ethical values. The University aims to produce responsible and confident youth acquired with social values, required skills, entrepreneurship capabilities, and leadership to meet the ever-changing needs of society.

A Centralised Admission Cell has been established by SVSU in order to manage and conduct both online and offline admission processes for all non-medical courses offered by it. The Cell also organises Subharti-National Eligibility Test (SNET) for candidates with required minimum eligibility to give them a gateway for admission in all Non-medical and Para-medical courses. It also arranges State-level Counselling Sessions for students to educate them about the details of different programs and related opportunities so that they can take informed decisions regarding their careers.

The Training and Placement Department at SVSU plays a major role in enhancing the corporate skills of students and accomplishing maximum recruitment by providing them a supportive and dedicated environment. The Department conducts various activities such as Personality Development Framework, Industrial Visits, Pre-Placement Counselling, Management Development Programs, Group Discussions, Career Guidance, and Interview Skills Development Sessions. The Career Counselling Cell of the University assists students in discovering the right career path from the pool of opportunities and options available. Subharti University a private, self-financed, and autonomous institution incepted in 2008, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University offers courses in nearly all academic areas. The university sprawling campus situated alongside the NH 58 in Meerut, has been appropriately named Subhartipuram. The massive campus houses grand academic edifices, administrative buildings and lavish lawns, and can accommodate over 5000 individuals.
The academic structure of this university comprises of 52 departments that between and amongst themselves oversee 14 distinct faculties. Some of these faculties include dental science, engineering and technology, education, law, medical, nursing, science, pharmacy, journalism and mass communication. Till date, the institute has inked collaboration agreements with 25 distinct commercial establishments and universities.

The Mahayana Theravada Vajrayana Buddhist Religious and Charitable Trust (Meerut) has played a key role in the university’s establishment.
