Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Meerut

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University has built modern separate hostels for boys and girls for offering accommodation facilities to students. The University has around 16 hostels including for UG and PG students separately, for NRIs, and for married couples.

At the hostels, students get both AC and non-AC rooms with single to quadruple occupancy. Moreover, SVSU Meerut has secured ‘Eat Right Campus’ certification from Government of India for its exceptional mess facilities. The Swami Vivekanand Subharti University has achieved specific benchmarks for serving hygienic, healthy, and sustainable food to the students under this certification. 

The University has fully furnished hostels which are managed by supervisors, resident wardens, and a chief warden who are responsible for ensuring care and well-being of the students. This makes the students have a safe and secured environment under the guidance of hostel staff. 

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Campus offers modern hostel facilities equipped with a range of amenities including internet connectivity, Air Conditioner, Mess & Canteen for offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

SVSU Meerut offers 4 categories of hostel rooms to students, which are single seat, double seat, triple seat, and four seat. Under these room categories, students are charged on the basis of room occupancy, which ranges from single to quadruple. The hostel fees structure is dependent on several factors including the academic course, academic level, foreign student, occupancy, accommodation, mess type, etc. .

Note: Apart from the hostel fees, students need to pay separately for availing the requisite mess facilities. Students also have to pay a specific security amount for hostel facilities which vary on the basis of accommodation type and course.

Students residing at the University hostels need to maintain required decorum and discipline. Strict action will be taken by the authorities if students engage in any act of misconduct within the hostel or University premises.

The rules and regulations which need to be followed by hostellers at the University are given below:

• Bringing guests to hostels without necessary permission from the Chief Warden is not allowed.
• Students are prohibited from consuming alcoholic drinks, dangerous drugs or other intoxicating substances within the Hostel.
• Students are not permitted to enter or use dining halls and mess facilities without prior authorisation.
• Engaging in ragging or causing disharmony among students is banned within the Hostel.

At the University, separate girls and boys hostels are available for the students. Out of the total 16 hostels, 7 have mess facilities where students are provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a new menu offered every day. The messes have capacity to serve more than 2500 resident students.
