Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is located in Subhartipuram, Delhi-Haridwar Bypass Road, Meerut. It has a traditional infrastructure with a little modern touch. The campus is situated amidst lush greenery, offering a serene environment for better learning experience for students.
The Swami Vivekanand Subharti University campus area covers approximately 250 acres of land. The University campus includes both academic and non-academic facilities to support students’ development and well-being. Life at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is scholarly and full of spirit.
Students can enjoy a lively college life with facilities like WiFi enabled campus, digital classrooms, a well-stocked library, accommodation facilities, canteens, round the clock security, sports facilities, etc.
The University has nearly 6 auditoriums used for larger gatherings to host various events such as seminars, workshops, debates, cultural activities, and so on. One of the largest auditoriums of the campus is Maangalya Convention Centre which has a seating capacity of more than 2500 guests and latest audio-visual equipment are installed for a better experience. This space allows individuals to have interactive sessions and live streaming.
Details of each infrastructural facilities available at the University are given below:
- Library: The University has around 2 central libraries named a Central Medical Library and a Central Nonmedical GS Dhillon Library. In the libraries, there are more than 1,45,677 collections of textbooks, 300+ National & International journals, and 9000+ e-journals. Both the libraries are centrally air conditioned and are equipped with audio-visual aids for effective use of resources.
- Laboratories: The laboratories of the SVSU Meerut are well-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and hi-tech facilities. Students receive training in the lab sessions and perform experiments for gaining practical knowledge. Some of the labs are Language lab, Neuro-physiotherapy lab, etc.
- Sports: The University provides sports facilities for both the indoor and outdoor games. There is an open stadium in the campus which includes Cricket and Football grounds, Tennis courts, Handball fields; for indoor games, there are Badminton courts, Table Tennis room, Carrom and Chess room, etc. Apart from this, students can also engage in yoga classes and exercise in gymnasiums for a healthy body.
- Hostels: Students can enjoy the residential facilities offered by the University, separately for boys and girls. Nearly 16 hostels are there which are allocated to NRI students, PG students and married couples as well. The Swami Vivekanand Subharti University hostel rooms have facilities such as free Wi-Fi, 24x7 power supply, entertainment room, study room, etc. The attached vegetarian mess located in the hostels provide meals to over 2500 students daily.
- Canteen: There are around 6 canteens housed within the University campus. They offer a multi-cuisine menu in a modern and hygienic environment. Students can have snacks, beverages, or any continental fast food items available in the canteens. There is a canteen which is dedicated only to girls for their comfort & safety.
- Medical Facilities: The campus of SVSU Meerut also includes a hospital named as Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital. In case of any emergency, students get immediate treatment. This hospital comprises nearly 1000 beds, providing quality and super-speciality medical care.
- Gymnasium: The University campus has separate well-equipped gymnasiums for boys and girls. Both the gyms have trainers to guide the students with their workouts.
- Banking: Within the premises of SVSU Meerut, there is a branch of Punjab National Bank, which offers all kinds of banking facilities including educational loans. Additionally, there are 3 different bank ATMs which make financial transactions easier and convenient for students & staff.
To develop valuable skills among students and nurture their interests outside the classrooms, the University has set up various clubs & committees. These clubs allow students to participate in co-curricular activities in which they are interested and foster engagement.
