Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science (formerly known as SNR Sons College) [SRCAS], Coimbatore was established in the year 1987 as a Private (Autonomous) Educational Institution, currently having 56th position in NIRF Ranking 2024. SRCAS Coimbatore is approved by AICTE and UGC Section 2(f) & 12(B), accredited by NAAC-A+, and is affiliated with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. SNR Sons Charitable Trust laid the foundation of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science in the year 1987 in Coimbatore. Bharathiar University affiliated the college and NAAC has accredited it. AICTE and UGC have approved the college.
The vision of the college is to attain academic excellence and focus on the character development of students to produce motivated and morally upright individuals who can face global challenges effectively. The college key objective is to provide education to young learners and make them socially responsible.
Admission in various programs of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science is conducted based on merit in a very transparent way that provides every candidate an equal opportunity to represent their knowledge. Admission to UG and PG programs is considered based on the guidelines issued by Bharathiar University and the Tamil Nadu Government.
Candidates can obtain an Application Form from the premises and must fill it out as well as it must be signed and countersigned by them and their parents/guardians respectively. They can submit the form to the Admission Counters and obtain acknowledgement slips from there. They are then given counselling sessions regarding their programs by the faculty of that department during the whole admission procedure.
The Application Form for different programs can also be obtained online by visiting the official website. Candidates need to go to the “Admission” menu and select the “Application Form” option. They will be directed to a new page where they will find the “UG Application Form” and “PG Application Form.” Tap on the desired Application Form which must be filled out after taking the printout.

A Center for Training, Placement & Corporate Relations has been appointed by SRCAS to train students and provide them with the best career choices. The Placement wing is an internal part of the college that invites many national and multinational organisations for the recruitment procedure.
The final-year students are given internship opportunities so that they can learn and gain knowledge about the norms of industries. According to the Learn Earn and Develop policy, the college offers part-time job opportunities to interested candidates.

The campus of SRCAS is located within the heart of Coimbatore city and is spread over an area of about 15.9 acres. The campus has around 6 blocks along with 33+ laboratories, 92+ classrooms, around 2 administrative offices, 2 libraries, a guest room, an auditorium, and seminar halls. It is ISO 9001:2015 certified institute and ranked 69th by NIR. India today magazine has ranked it in the top 100 colleges of Arts and Science in 2019. The college library is well stocked and filled to the brim with books, Journals, bound volumes, and magazines. With over 42,342 volumes of books the library spreads across an area of 6000 sq ft. Over 164 Journals, weeklies and magazines for all subjects are available. The library is completely digitalized and uses modern technology and E-Library facilities to keep tabs on the books and other research material. The students can access many online databases through the library computers.
