Karpaga Vinayaga College of Nursing

Karpaga Vinayaga College of Nursing was established in 2010 and built a reputation over the years, courtesy undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses provided at the college. The private nursing educational institution is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and approved by INC. The college is also approved by Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.

The Karpaga Vinayaga College of Nursing offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses for nursing. There are 50 seats in the undergraduate nursing course. For postgraduate, there are a total of 25 seats, 5 each for the five specialities taught at the institution. Postgraduate specialisation is provided in medical surgical nursing, child health nursing, obstetrics and gynaecological nursing, community health nursing and mental health nursing. The Karpaga Vinayaga College of Nursing offers three types of scholarships for the students. They are namely the BC/MBC Scholarship, SC/ST/OBC Scholarship, and First Graduation fee concession scholarship. The entire tuition fee gets waived under the SC/ST/OBC scholarship provided by the government. Similarly, the first graduate scholarship is a government initiative for students who are about to be the first graduate in the family.

To avail the scholarship benefits, the application form duly attested by the principal of the college must be submitted to Department of Backward Classes/ Most Backward Classes Welfare Board/ Adidravidar Tribal Welfare Board, Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. All the details are uploaded to the official portal. Both undergraduate and postgraduate candidates can appeal for these scholarships.
