RVS College of Nursing Kannampalayam

The placement cell was set up in 2012 to help nursing students find great job opportunities. Currently the students at RVS College of Nursing have been placed in various multi-specialty hospitals both in India and abroad. The final year students are placed in several organisations and other major Indian cities. Recruiting companies visit the college every June and July. The placement cell also organises career seminars to help students become successful professionals.

There are a number of facilities provided by the RVS College of Nursing Coimbatore to their students. Some of them are mentioned below.

• Library: The library of RVS College of Nursing was established in 2008. It covers 3,000 square feet and seats about 100 students. The library has about 4,000 books, 2,100 titles, 25 journals, magazines, and 100 CDs. It also provides newspapers and a collection of reference materials, fiction, and newsletters for students and teachers.
• Hostel: The college hostel provides a homely and peaceful environment for students. It is well-furnished with all necessary amenities for comfort. Wardens are there to attend to student’s needs. There is a dining hall nearby that provides hygienically prepared vegetarian and non-veg meals.
• Transport: The college has its own buses to take students to and from different parts of the city. This helps to reduce the commuting problems that students and staff usually face.
• Canteen: The college has two cafeterias on campus that serve students and staff. Experienced contractors manage them, and they are open on all working days. The cafeterias provide good, hygienic food and snacks at very affordable prices.
• Clinical facility: As a part of B.Sc Nursing course, students gain clinical experience at various hospitals. RVS hospital, a well-known multi-speciality facility has around 250 beds and provides specialised care with Labor room, laboratory facilities, Pharmacy, operation theater, Physiotherapy, X-ray and USG machines and Dental Clinic. Students also gain clinical experience at the specialised hospitals.
