Alliance School of Law has got its approval from the Bar Council of India and UGC. The law school has its affiliation with Alliance University, which was set up in 2010. The school has eminent jurists and full time faculty from around the world who teach students different courses.
The law school offers two integrated, five-year undergraduate law programmes: B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). These programmes have been thoughtfully created and are intended to prepare their graduates for fulfilling careers. Additionally, it grants a one-year LL.M degree with special focus in administrative law, and commercial law.
The 2018 CSR-GHRDC Law School Survey placed it 11th. It received the GHRDC Law School Survey's Most Promising Law School award. The law school is also a participant in the LSAC global law alliance. The law school creates opportunities for the students to hone their leadership abilities so that they can grow when they begin working or starting their own law firm.
Alliance School of Law can apply online for any degree course through Alliance University’s website. After that, they can go to the form and fill out all their personal details. They have to mention the courses in which they are looking forward to get admitted. Their overall performance is assessed by a panel. The students are then selected, or rejected based on their application and the test taken by the university panel.
The following is the criteria for different programs.
UG: Those who have passed their 10+2 or any equal exam from any board are eligible. They should have gotten 50% in their 12th standards and 45% is the criteria if students are from reserved classes. The students have to further appear in the AUSAT exam and PI to secure their seats in BA LLB or BBA LLB. CLAT/LSAT scores are also taken into consideration during the admission in UG courses.
FOR LLB: Students should have passed their UG degree with at least 45% average score. The criteria for OBC are 43% and for a reserved class, the criterion is 40%.
PG: To pursue LLM a candidate should have got a graduate degree in law that has been approved by the BCI. Students should have a minimum score of 45% (40% for candidates who fall under the category of reserved candidates). A high score in Alliance CLAT test and PI performance can help a student secure admission.
Ph.D.: A law master's degree that is LLM from any university with 55% average is required. Entrance exam and personal interview along with evaluation of the research summary on a dissertation topic decide admission.
Alliance School of Law gives many scholarships to students based on their performance on entrance exams and merit. The scholarship committee announces merit scholarships based on academic achievement and entrance exams.
CLAT Scholarships: Students get a 50% tuition fee waiver for BA LLB/BBA LLB courses if they score 100 or higher on the CLAT exam (given to the top 10 students). Those who score between 80 and 99.99 get a 35% tuition discount. There is also a 25% fee waiver for students who score between 60 and 79.99 on their CLAT exam.
LSAT Scholarships: If a candidate's LSAT score is 90 or higher, he will receive a 50% tuition fee waiver; a 35% scholarship if the score is 85 or higher; and a 25% fee waiver if the score is 80 or higher.
Scholarships based on 10th and 12th grades: Students with 95% or higher in their 10th and 12th grades are eligible for a 50% scholarship.
Reserved class scholarships: There is a 20% tuition scholarship available to SC/ST and students with disabilities. Athletes competing at the national level are eligible for a 15% scholarship. Local Karnataka residents get a 5% tuition fee. The student must have finished at least 7 years of study in one of the states of Karnataka's government-approved schools.
