The Presidency College courses are inclusive of the ones at doctoral, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The College’s undergraduate courses include BBA, B.Com, BCA, and BAJ. Under the postgraduate programs, there are MCA, MBA, and M.Com ones. At the doctoral level, the aspiring candidates can apply for Ph.D. in Management Studies.
The College’s undergraduate-level BBA program is for 3 years that is conducted over 6 semesters and on a full-time basis. The course teaches the pupils about the various management techniques that are applicable in the corporate world. They study subjects such as Finance, Business Law & Ethics, Accounting, Strategic Management, Management Information System, Economics, and Marketing.
As part of the program, there is dissemination of knowledge through presentations, case studies, and lectures – among others.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate has to clear the qualifying exam (either Intermediate or Pre-University ones) from recognized Educational Boards.
The applicant has to pass 10+2 exam / PUC (or equivalent), having minimum 55% aggregate marks - including languages. The reserved categories are given relaxation as per the Bangalore University regulations.
The College’s full-time BCA course was awarded 7th rank in India by the India Today Neilson Survey that was conducted on June 2014. The program is an undergraduate one that runs for 3 years, spanning 6 semesters. This course develops the IT/programming skills of the pupils.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, the applicant has to pass the qualifying examination that is the Intermediate or Pre-University ones, and from recognized Boards. Also, the candidates who clear the Government of Karnataka’s 3-year Diploma in Engineering, or JODC, with minimum 35% aggregate marks in every semester are eligible.
The Institute’s full-time MBA course is for 2 years and a postgraduate one, having 4 semesters. The students have the option of specializing in various disciplines: Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Information Technology.
The course equips the students for executing managerial responsibilities. Also, they learn about the fundamentals of corporate social responsibility.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the MBA program, the candidate has to score 50% aggregate marks, or above, in graduation from recognized Universities. Moreover, they have to clear the K-MAT examination.
As part of the College’s post-graduate-level full-time MCA course, the pupils gain competency in computer applications. The program is for 3 years, with 6 semesters. The course exposes the students to different areas. These include programming basics, logical & numerical methodologies, networking & Internet, and computer fundamentals. The course curriculum includes guest lectures, industrial visits, and participation in IT fests.
Eligibility Criteria
As per the course’s eligibility norms, the applicant has to get minimum 50% aggregate marks in graduation and from a recognized Board/University. In the case of the reserved classes, there is 5% relaxation for Karnataka candidates.
