The State Institute of Medical Education and Technology (SI-MET) is a project started under the Ministry of Health & Welfare, Government of Kerala. In 2009, three nursing colleges were established and one of them was SIMET College of Nursing Palluruthy. The college is affiliated with Kerala Health University and recognised by the Indian Nursing Council and Kerala Nursing and Midwives Council. The college offers B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing programs at the UG level.

Admission Process
The admission to the SIMET College of Nursing Ernakulam is done through the official portal of LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Govt. of Kerala. Candidates have to apply online through the LBS, Govt. of Kerala website. Follow the detailed admission procedure mentioned below for your reference:
After registering online, candidates have to register themselves for the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). This counselling process is done by the Director, LBS Centre. Through the CAP, students are allotted seats to the colleges and offered courses based on the options chosen by them. Initially the authority will release a rank list after online registration, and only those candidates will be able to participate in the CAP whose name will be there on the list. Steps are highlighted below to register for the CAP:
Based on the data provided by the students, the counselling process will commence. It is usually conducted in 3 rounds. The merit list will contain the name of the students allotted to the preferred college. After the first allotment, students must pay a token money through online mode and take a print out of the fee receipt. Post allotment activities, candidates have to report to the college for document verification and final admission.
