Government College of Nursing Thrissur

The college campus is on 5 acres at Government Medical college. The building is 57,058 square feet. The Government College of Nursing has provided several facilities for their students. It has many classrooms and labs such as, advanced clinical nursing lab, maternal and child health nursing lab, nutrition and dietetics lab, computer lab, and others.

• Library: The college has a spacious library with comfy seating and good ventilation. It covers 4,500 sq ft and seats over 125 students. There are 6,310 books, 11 national journals, 5 international journals, along with 750 e-journals. The library is automated with KOHA software and organised by subject.
• Hostel: The girl’s hostel on campus covers 54,381 Sq ft and can house 250 students. It has three stories, a space for indoor games, living room, room for sick students, guest and reading rooms, plus a tailoring unit. Eco-friendly features like solar panels and rainwater harvesting are installed. The hostel also has visitor rooms, a mess, dining hall, and accommodation for staff, with the mess running.
• Transportation: Government College of Nursing has its own transport system for students. There is one bus with 46 seats and one van with 8 seats. This service is available for both UG and PG students, as well as staff, for clinical visits, health camps, educational trips, and field visits.
