Dr HLT College of Pharmacy

With the vision of providing top standards of Pharmacy profession for inculcating global competencies along with implementing good pharmacy education practice, the institute started its journey in the year 1987 in Kengal Channapatna. The mission of this Pharmacy institute is to meet the requirements of society on a regional, local and worldwide level. The institute endeavors to enhance interaction between institute and industry by following various strategies.

The mission is to offer "GOOD PHARMACY EDUCATION PRACTICE" and to portray the role of able pharmacist of the country. They intend to develop competent health care professionals for providing optimal value services to society. It missions to train the upcoming pharmacist as 'Seven-Star Pharmacists' according to the guidelines of WHO and FIP. Academia is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka and recognized by PCI, AICTE, and Government of Karnataka.

Academia was established under the umbrella of Sri Home Gowda Education Trust. This is a non-profit registered trust formed by social workers and few philanthropists in the year 1963. The aim of this trust is to provide education to poor rural people.  As of now, twenty-seven service-oriented and dedicated committee members from the different profession are associated with charitable, social and educational pursuit.

Dr. HLT College of Pharmacy encourages the students to delve into the ocean of knowledge and a well-equipped library plays a vital role in this prospect. The institute treasures library that is home to large volumes of books, journals, and periodicals. Computers with internet facility are also available. The library comprises of latest editions of books so that students can get the latest information about the specific topic. The Helinet facility present in the library allows students to access the new periodicals, magazines, pharmacy books, and papers. Students can access pharmacy syllabus and question papers of previous years, literature and other knowledge sources in the reference section of the library. Students can also use Xerox machine available in the library.  Library facility is available for all the seven days in a week.

Institute offers diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of pharmacy. Admission to these courses is based on merit formed by the score obtained in the qualifying examination. The institute does not conduct entrance exam for admission.
