Govt. College of Nursing affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences opened its doors to students in 2006 by offering a B.Sc in Nursing. The college is recognised by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council and INC.
It provides undergraduate to doctoral-level programs in nursing. The college was granted approval to be a Ph.D centre in 2019. Therefore, the first batch of research scholars enrolled in 2020.
Mission and Vision: The college designs its programs such that they can meet the learning needs of different students and contribute to the development of critical thinking, productivity, interpersonal relations, and self-reliance. The aim of the college is to keep students up-to-date with the changes in nursing, technology, and allied health services.

Admission Process
Admission to B.Sc is done through the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. Selection is based on the rank list prepared by LBS. Admission for the M.Sc program is done by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations. The list is prepared by CEE based on the rank in the entrance examination.
The campus of the Government Nursing College Alappuzha is located within the T.D. Medical College. Besides the campus, students get professional training at the Government T. D.
