The PGDM is the flagship academic course offered by Woxsen Business School and the most popular amongst the B-school courses. The two-year program, divided into six terms, requires students to complete an internship at the end of three months. Students can choose to specialize in the management/business administration related areas including HR and Business Analytics, Operations, Finance, and Marketing. Applicants have to clear a national level management examination like CAT, NMAT, XAT, MAT, and so on.
During the internship period, students get several opportunities to apply their theoretical wisdom in completing duties assigned to them. The internship program usually involves aiding a new brand’s promotion, innovating measures to bring down supply chain costs, and so on. The 2nd year witnesses students relocating to Singapore (Nanyang Technological University) for completing the ‘Global Immersion Program.’
Candidates gain knowledge on marketing, operations, finance, general management, economics, human resources, and various other subject-matters. Students need to maintain a minimum 60% aggregate score throughout their secondary, higher-secondary, and graduate study periods.
The Post Graduate Program for Experienced Professionals or PGPXP has a one-year academic schedule, comprising eight terms. While applying for this postgraduate course, students have to indicate whether they wish to specialize in operations, finance or marketing. The course intends to assist professionals in having functional or technical skills so that they can become successful entrepreneurs or managers.
A candidate needs to have nothing less than two years of professional experience to apply to this program. The innovatively designed curriculum enables professionals and entrepreneurs to imbibe skills that help transform themselves into effective go-getters. Students have to be very dynamic and forward-thinking to keep up with the fast-paced program.
The learners gain knowledge about organizational behavior, operations, accounting & finance, quantitative analysis, marketing, and economics. Students have to complete their core subjects before they start focusing on their chosen specialization area. In the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eight terms, the learners study a blend of basic and elective subjects covering the disciplines of operations, marketing, and finance.
Students have the option of selecting any one of the areas above (finance, marketing or operations) for specialization. PGPXP students also get the opportunity of visiting Mannheim Business School in Germany, thereby helping them enhance their professional experience. The transfer program offers students a first-hand experience of how world-class engineering firms carry on day-to-day business.
The learners develop a thorough understanding of the Euro-zone commercial environment which eventually serves them well in their career journey. The admission terms and conditions, including academic qualifications for PGPXP, are identical to those of PGDM.
Apart from the above two core programs, Woxsen Business School offers courses tailor-made for professionals and businesspersons. These tailor-made programs enable entrepreneurs and top-level management executives to cope with business challenges and manage an organization with greater efficiency. More often than not, traditional programs and training methods prove inadequate for transforming seasoned professionals into effective leaders and managers.
CEEC develops customized programs that help fulfill learning goals that could vary from one organization to another. The course curriculum facilitates a collaborative approach which in turn helps in thrashing out tailored solutions for the organization.
The B-school also has on offer a suite of short-term open programs. Some of these open programs include ‘Essentials for Leadership,’ ‘Business Analytics,’ ‘Managing Innovation,’ ‘Leading People’ and ‘Management Strategy.’ WBS registers professionals for a total of 11 open programs in management.
