Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, shortly called by the name IIM Nagpur started its academic curriculum in the year 2015. The institute is the 14th IIM in the country set up by the Government of India. IIM Nagpur is an Autonomous University and is a member of The Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The institute started functioning under the guidance of IIM Ahmedabad.
Vision: The vision of the institute is to shape the management policy, system and governance by disseminating high quality education, and to become a premiere education hub of Management education.
Mission: IIM Nagpur mission is built on three pillars, i.e. Top-notch education, high-quality research, and engagement with the industry.
The Institute is running both academic and executive programs. Students can apply for MBA, MBA Executive, Ph.D, and Ph.D Executive.
The Admission process for the MBA program which is known as the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) is completed in three stages:
Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria and qualify in one of the following exams: CAT / GMAT / GATE / GRE / UGC-NET / UGC-JRF, based on their area of specialisation can apply for admission to Ph.D programs in the university. IIM Nagpur will then screen the application received based on the eligibility criteria and call the applicants for the Personal Interview round. The selected candidates in the interview will receive a provisional admission offer.

Note: SC / ST / PwD category candidates get 5% relaxation in the minimum eligible marks mentioned above. Additionally, reservation criteria following the Government of India norms are considered while admitting students to the programs.
To motivate meritorious candidates and support the students coming from economically weaker sections of the society, IIM Nagpur grants IIM Nagpur Merit Scholarship and IIM Nagpur Need-cum-Merit Scholarship to the selected 20 students. Candidates who have scored above 95% in the CAT exam are eligible to receive the Merit Scholarship while those students whose annual family income is below Rs. 5,00,000 lac can apply for Need-cum-Merit Scholarship.
Other than the scholarships funded by itself, IIM Nagpur supports a number of Central and State Government scholarships like Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship to SC students, Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses, Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students, Chief Minister Fellowship Yojana (CMFY) - Jharkhand, and more.

IIM Nagpur has a Placement Committee which looks after the Campus Placement of the students. The Placement Committee is elected through a democratic process. It interacts with the industries to provide better job opportunities for its students. Also, students are groomed to make them suitable for their corporate careers.
Many national and multinational companies have shown their interest in the Campus hiring from the institute. Some of the prominent recruiters in the past are Amazon, Deloitte, Yes Bank, Tata Power, Jio Studios, Microsoft, ZS Associates, Capgemini, Accenture, L&T InfoTech, Xiaomi, Crompton Greaves, HCL, Cognizant, and more.
IIM Nagpur is continuing its academic curriculum from the new campus at Dahegaon Mauza, MIHAN, Nagpur from November 2021. The new campus has been developed on 132-acre and is 9 km from the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagpur International Airport. The lush green campus of IIM Nagpur was designed in a way to reduce the detrimental impact on the surroundings. Internet is provided to students through wired and wireless LAN both. Other than the main campus, IIM Nagpur has established a Satellite Campus at Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) Ganeshkhind Road, Pune. Likewise the main campus, the Satellite Campus is equipped with infrastructure facilities like laboratories, classrooms, library, auditorium, hostel, dining halls, discussion rooms, etc.
The Library and e-resource centre (LRC) in the permanent campus became operational in January 2022. It stocks information resources both printed and electronic on business and management. There are 3000+ print books and students can access 2,17,000 e-books. In addition to the learning resources, users have services like cyber lab, a reading hall, magazines, newspapers, bibliographic service, referencing, research support, etc.
The permanent campus academic infrastructures include academic blocks, faculty blocks, and administration blocks. To provide accommodation to students and staff, hostels and residential areas are constructed in the new campus. There is a sports complex set-up in the premises with facilities for various sports.
