Government Law College came into existence in 2008 established by the Tamil Nadu Government. GLC Vellore got recognition from the BCI and is affiliated with the Tamilnadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. The college provides law courses at UG and PG level.

The admission is based on academic merit followed by counseling.
The GLC provides scholarships to their students. All types of scholarships for post-matric studies are granted if the students have at least 90% attendance to be eligible. Candidates can check the college website for more details.
The Government Law College Vellore campus is spread on 10.8 acres of land in total. The college consists of 13 classrooms, Moot Court Hall, Seminar Hall, Library and a Conference Hall.
