Jagannath University was established as a private university in 2013 by Haryana State Govt. The university is located in the NCR and easily accessible from Delhi. The university is approved under UGC and has been a member of AIU. The Jagannath Memorial Educational Society, a recognised non-profit organisation founded in 1993 is the sponsor of the university. The promoters of this educational society are visionary leaders and help many institutions to provide quality education.
It is a multi-faculty institution that offers undergraduate and PG programmes in engineering and technology, architecture, management, commerce and law. JMC, Pharmacy, and Agriculture are the other fields where students can enrol. The institution places a strong emphasis on strong industrial links and skill development. The faculty of engineering and technology provides courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Arch, and B. Design. The faculties of sciences and management and commerce offer courses like B.Sc. (H) Agri, B.Sc. (Med.), B.Sc. (Non-Med.), B.Sc. (Animation & VFX), M.Sc. (Chemistry), BBA, MBA, and B.Com. The faculty of medical and health sciences has courses like Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Master of Physiotherapy (MPT), B.Pharma, D.Pharma, B.Sc. (Paramedical Sciences and Life Sciences) and M.Sc in life sciences. The other courses at the university are BA (JMC), MA (JMC), BA LLB, LLM, B.Ed, M.Ed, and B.VOC. It has PhD courses available in Engineering, Physiotherapy, Law, Agriculture, Management, and JMC.
The B.Tech (CSE) is in partnership with NIIT whereas MBA/BBA courses are in connection with UR Services and Future Learning Group. It has Green watt techno solutions center to give industrial excellence in B.Tech (EE) field. It has skilled and well educated academic staff. The university also has built a skills training centre to combine traditional teaching with solid experience as it improves students' employability through skill development. For this purpose, it is beginning to offer B.Voc certificate, diploma, and degree programmes in 8 categories related to different subjects. It has organized a number of outreach initiatives since the institution's founding in 2013, including physio camps, free aid camps, mass media camps, etc. in neighbouring villages, cities, and office buildings.
Jagannath University takes admission through online/offline mode. One can get a registration form from the website or pick one up at the admissions department for any of the institution's many programs. There is a 500 rupees registration fee (1000 rupees for a PhD). If one candidate meets the requirements and fulfils the admissions procedure set by the institution for the specific program of study, he or she will be able to be admitted to any program of study that the university offers. Enrolment of candidates will be done only on the merit-based criteria as determined by the All India Common Entrance Test or the Jagannath University Entrance Test (JUEE). These tests are designed to evaluate knowledge, ability, and aptitude for pursuing higher education through written exams, oral tests, GD, PI or a blend of these.
There is a condition that admission may be granted based on merit as determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination in cases where there is a small student intake. The entrance exam will take place on the college campus and/or at additional locations as announced from time to time by the institution.
Seat allocation: At least 25% of the available seats for admission to the university must be allotted to candidates from Haryana, of which 10% must go to individuals of the state's Scheduled Castes. If the reserved seats aren't filled by the end of the admission period, they will be filled in the following three days from the waiting list of unreserved applicants.
The criteria in different faculties are:
B.Tech: 4 years course, admission is given based on JEE Mains score with interview. Applicants must have passed 12th with Physics and Math as compulsory subjects along with one subject from Chemistry / Biotech / Bio and obtained 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST).
B.Arch: 5 years duration, passed 12th or have 10th with 3 years diploma with PCM subjects, with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST categories). NATA/JEE exams are there along with PI to determine the selection process.
BBA: 3 years, 10+2 with min 50% marks, admission based on qualifying exam.
BCA: 3 years duration, 12th with 50%, and admission based on qualifying exam based merit.
BA LLB: 5 years, 12th with 45%, selection through LSAT/CLAT /JUEE and PI
BSc (H) in Agri and BSc (Med/Non Med): 12th in science stream with 50%.
BPT: Those who wish to do bachelor in physiotherapy can enrol in this 4.5 years of course, need to have PCB with English in their 12th (50%)
D.Pharma & B.Pharma: To do a diploma of 2 years and a bachelor of 4 years in the field of Pharmacy, applicants need to have 50% in 12th with science stream.
M.Tech: 2 years course and should have passed B.Tech with 60% or MCA/ M.Sc. (Physics/Maths/Electronics/CS/IT) with 55%. GATE/ SLET/ JUEE and PI are also there for the consideration of the admission.
MCA: 2 years, must have passed BCA / or equivalent degree, OR must have passed B.Sc/B.Com/ BA with Maths at 12th level or at graduation level, 50% marks (45% marks if belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying exam.
MBA: 2 years course in business, 3 years graduation degree in any stream is asked with 50% in general and 45% for SC/ST.
MA JMC: 2 years course, graduation in any stream with 50%, selection based on qualifying exam.
PhD courses: 3 years program in the fields of engineering, management, education, law, physiotherapy and JMC. Students need to have a master in relevant discipline with 60% marks and selection is done through entrance and PI.

Internships: Internships assist in preparing young students for the workforce. A unique learning opportunity for fresh graduates, internships allow students to put their classroom knowledge to the test in the real world. Entrepreneurship Development Cell: Every educated and semi-skilled young student should be able to support themselves. So the university formed a cell with the aim of providing the required training to develop entrepreneurial skills and abilities in the students. It runs training programs for young people to strengthen their skills in management, engineering, law, physiotherapy, and agriculture.
Jagannath University has a 26-acre site that is beautiful and pollution-free. There are big, beautiful green gardens between each block to add ambiance and beauty to the college campus. To ensure that students receive a high-quality education, the university has built the necessary infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, libraries, play areas, dorms, computer centres, agricultural study farms, skill development centres, Techno-Parks, and other facilities.
Excellent sports facilities are available at the University for both outdoor and indoor activities, helping students in shaping their whole personalities and fitness level. It has established a solar plant for the generation of solar power for electricity while keeping environmental concerns in mind.
Library: The JNUB library has nice and cosy seating areas for reading and is completely air-conditioned. Faculty and scholars can also use the carrel facility to study books in depth and quietly. The process for finding and collecting books is computerized. The library has DELNET membership and is fully computerised. With a large selection of textbook and research books, both national and international publications and periodicals, as well as theses and dissertations, it is a genuine treasury of knowledge. The library offers access to the most recent printed and digital study and reference materials, as well as CDs, projects, government documents, news stories, and bulletins.

Hostels: There are separate dorms for boys and girls at the university. The dormitory rooms are large, nicely decorated, and come with electricity access, water, and internet 24/7. Hostel users have access to WI-FI all the time for convenient information access and academic purposes. Hostels also have a gymnasium and it is surrounded by lush, clean grass, resulting in a clean atmosphere. In order to maintain close monitoring and observation, a 24-hour security system is employed. Under the direction and supervision of the hostel superintendent, the mess serves students wholesome and delicious meals.
Computer Lab: The University has created an amazing computing centre with a wonderful setup for tables and chairs. The computer centre has a sufficient number of computers as well as related accessories for students and staff, including LCD monitors, printers, and webcams for video conference, smart boards, net, and Wi-Fi. There are sufficient numbers of computers available, and faculty members have individual email addresses. The most recent software, including MATLAB, SPSS etc., are accessible for use in a variety of engineering and technology fields.
Agri Research Farm: The 12 acres of the agriculture research farm is used to instruct students in real crop production while also serving as a research innovation facility for scholars. Research and development is focused on agricultural production techniques, crop enhancement, and crop protection for the principal crops grown in this region, including cereals, pulses, oil seeds, horticultural, and floriculture crops.
Technical Farm: The University’s Tech Park intends to inform local farmers and students about the newest technologies that are helpful for sustainable farming. It will be focusing on productivity and profitability for business ventures. Students and farmers come together in the Technical Park and on research farms to share knowledge.
In May 2013, Jagannath University came into existence in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. The University is a member of AIU and approved by UGC. Multi-Faculty University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various fields. The courses offered by the University meet the standards and approved by Bar Council of India, Council of Architecture, Pharmacy Council of India and NCTE. It has approval from the Department of Higher Education, Haryana for all the UG and PG courses.

University runs various programs under different faculty. Admission is based on merit adjudged through Jagannath University Entrance Test or All-India Common Entrance Test. For assessing comprehension, knowledge, and aptitude of the candidate to pursue higher degree candidate needs to qualify the written test, personal interview, and group discussion or their combination.
In cases where the intake of students is low than admission is based on the merit made by marks obtained in the qualifying examination. For students belonging to Haryana 25% seats are available and 10% seats are reserved for scheduled castes of Haryana.
Students with less than 75% attendance in any subject are not allowed to appear in the end semester examination of a particular subject. In this case, he/she will be allowed to appear in examination with the permission of Dean/HoD if there is at least 65% attendance in particular subject and 75% attendance in all the subjects.
