Sabarmati University, formerly known as Calorx Teachers’ University, is the first private dual-mode (Students can move between classroom courses and distance learning) state university in Gujarat which is located in Ahmedabad. In 2009, the state govt granted it the status of state private university. UGC, the Government of Gujarat, PCI, and BCI all recognized and approved Sabarmati University. It is also an active member of AIU and School of Education has approval from the reputed NCTE.
It offers a variety of Certifications, UG, PG, Diplomas, and Doctoral programmes in different segments. It offers numerous courses in several academic disciplines, including applied sciences, law, and pharmacy. The programs also are a part of school of education, commerce and management, and humanities. The university provides PhD in Computer Science, Education, Gujarati, English, Hindi, Economics, History, Pol Science, Sociology, Management, Commerce, Accountancy, and Law. The university has a distinctive feature of providing distance education in various fields of Arts and Commerce. The diploma and bachelor in vocational studies is also an important course at the university. The target audience for these courses consist mainly of the underprivileged youths who are looking for non-formal educational approaches to improve their earning. Students can mainly do B.VOC degrees in automobile engineering, beauty, salon, spa, media mass communication, and tourism & hospitality.

The School of Research and Development deals with the doctoral programs also known as PhD programs in various disciplines.
For PhD courses: (In Computer Science, PCM/PCB Subjects, Education, Gujarati, English, Hindi, Economics, History, Pol Science, Sociology, Management, Commerce, Accountancy, and Law): To do a PhD in any of the subjects mentioned, students need to have a master degree/M.Phil from any recognised university with 55% marks. Also NET/SLET entrance test needs to be cleared to do the doctoral.
The University works hard to facilitate and provide guidance for activities linked to placement. They offer every registered student complete placement support. To locate the best employment for its students, the institution's placement cell collaborates with numerous other institutions and groups. It handles every step of the placement process, including finding organisations, bringing them to university, giving students the advice and information they need, organizing, and following up. To avail the placement opportunities, students must achieve a minimum average of 60% and above in senior sec school, as well as a minimum score of 60% on the university's external exam. Without any backlogs, the students should have completed their UG and PG courses.
The companies will be invited by the cell based on the following criteria.
A student might apply to more than five companies in an effort to find employment. Students have to immediately refuse the university's placements help if, after participating in selection interviews with 5 companies, he or she is unable to secure a confirmed employment offer.

Wi-Fi Campus:
JIO Internet network is available all throughout the campus. Students at different schools can use the wireless internet thanks to the university LAN's connection via fibre optic cables and a private Wi-Fi facility.
Green Campus:
The campus is encircled by magnificent greenery and more than 100 different kinds of trees. The campus has a built-in garden feature to improve the appearance of students' educational life. The classrooms are thoughtfully built to maximize direct sunlight and air circulation.
Seminar Halls:
There are 3 seminar halls that are available on campus. These can be utilized for educational and cultural initiatives as there is room for 100 people in each hall at once. It comes with audiovisual capabilities that are needed to conduct workshops or presentations.
Cells:
Anyone with a legitimate complaint may speak to a staff employee in person or seek advice from the office managing the Students' Grievance Cell. If the person chooses not to show up in person, complaints may be sent in writing to the Cell in the mailbox or feedback box. The institute has pledged to abide by all rules issued by the UGC and other authorities. It doesn’t support any ragging related incidents, and for that, they have an anti-ragging cell.
