The campus has the most wonderful and serene atmosphere as they have trees all-round the institution. The whole campus is integrated with air-conditioning making it comfortable during the summers. The campus is made in a way that there is never problems in providing conducive training to all the students. As the campus has an inbuilt workshop that is equipped heavily with lathe machine, shaping machine, milling machine, welding and gas cutting equipment, student get everything of their need inside the campus. IMI is only fully equipped institute in the country having the marine workshop training facility. The campus also has an engine simulator that stimulates on board situations and functioning of the different ship machinery.
The campus also has recreational provisions for students as they provide indoor courts and equipment for table tennis, basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, swimming etc. Outdoor games such as volleyball, cricket, football etc. are also played. At the time of national maritime day, sporting tournaments are organized. E sports are also played as today’s generation likes to participate in these games.The institution gives all freedom in positive aspect to grow together with the students. Gymnasium is also provided to take care of their health that often gets out of our sight.
The canteen provides good food with reasonable price with a serene lush green environment, such an important aspect of education to connect with nature.
