Dr. D Y Patil Institute of Management Studies was started in the year 2004. It was built with the beautiful concept of providing students with a varied range of prospects in the field of Management studies. The institute has also created educational institutes in Pune, Kolhapur, and Mumbai. It has produced opportunities to as many as 50,000 students including both Indian and foreign students. DYPIMS is located in Akudi a sub-urban place of the huge Industrial township of Pimpri-Chichwad near Pune. The college runs on the motto of ‘Gyandheeenam Jagatsarvam’ that means knowledge is superior to everything. It is spread in 1.25 acres of land, 40% of which is green campus.
Admission can be undertaken as per the guideline of AICTE and directorate of technical education (DTE) Maharashtra by giving MBA-MH-CET / CMAT EXAM. Attendance required for the college is 75%.
The institute has well-kept library housing over 10,000 books. An integrated IT zone has been developed for the modern requirement of the students where there are 7 multimedia computers catering to the e-resources needs of the students. In the IT zone, it has OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) connected with the library automation software E-Granthalay. It even has reprography (Xerox machine), open online resources from NPTEL and INFLIBNET are also used.
