Ness Wadia College of Commerce Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Pune

The boys' hostel tower was huge and my parents were like 'you will be staying at the hostels no matter what'. After the first semester though, I moved out as the facilities at the hostel were not up to the mark. There are common washrooms and you can imagine their conditions. They were cleaned daily, but still managing it that way was not possible for me, as on some days there will be no water, while on some days there will be a leakage. There were two hostels inside the campus. A 6-floor boys hostel and a 4-floor girls hostel. My friends who stayed at the hostel were always crying about the sorry state of the hostel. The water and food provided were unhygienic. Most students used to eat outside the hostel mess because of it. The rooms were acceptable as all rooms were given on a twin sharing basis. The rooms were clean and even though the hostel is old, the rooms are painted every few years and even the furniture is refurbished as and when required. The hostel timings were never implemented as hostel students used to go for late-night movies. I could call my hostel friends at any point in time and they would be there without fail. So, it was as good as staying in a PG as the freedom was full.Read Full Review

I have never seen such a small hostel where the intake is around 800 students for B. Com and still the hostel of 3 floors had 10-12 rooms after taking out the warden and the guest rooms. 30 girls were accommodated in the girls' hostel of the College, so I had to find my space off-campus. Koregaon Park, which is one of the most happening areas of Pune, is close to our College and there are many buildings where flats are given only to students. Every restaurant that you go to, you will see stickers displaying that a flat mate is required. So, finding accommodation, be it boys or girls, it can never be an issue in Pune.Read Full Review
