The Bhawanipur Education Society College

Accredited by NAAC and affiliated with the University of Calcutta, the Bhawanipur Education Society College has 50+ years of experience in educating students from different backgrounds. The college began its journey in Kolkata in the year 1966 with the vision of providing education through excellence to everyone regardless of their religion or the language they speak.

It is currently educating 10,000+ students with the help of 160+ faculty members. The teachers at the institute have the finest knowledge and teaching wisdom. They coach and mentor the students whilst being supportive and friendly.

The Bhawanipur Education Society College offers sixteen courses under the departments of Arts, Commerce, Science, and Business Administration. The different UG and PG courses available at BESC are mentioned below.

• The Arts Department offers B.A. (Honours) courses in English, History, Bengali, Sociology, Political Science, and Journalism & Mass Communication along with an M.A. course in English.
• The Department of Science provides B.Sc. (Honours) courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, and Electronics.
• The Commerce Department provides B.Com (Honours) and M.Com
• The Department of Business Administration offers a B.B.A. (Honours) course.

*All the bachelor's courses have duration of 3 years and the master's courses have duration of 2 years.

BESC also provides Career-Focused courses (Short-Term) such as Global Management Skills, ACCA, Cyber Security, Capital Market, Corporate Communication, CFP, Commerce+, e-Learning, etc.

The application process followed by the institution is completely online and the application form is not available offline. The candidate needs to follow these steps on the college website to find the enquiry form:

In the Enquiry form, the candidates need to fill in details like Name, Mobile Number, School name, Board, and Address and then select the course they are interested in. Once the college receives the enquiry they will contact the candidate via email or call for further discussion. The students are only eligible to apply after the announcement of their Class XII board results.

The college provides Scholarships to its deserving students in the form of cash prizes. Post-Graduate Indra Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child for PG Programs is applicable if the candidate applying is the only-girl child below the age of 30 years in the family pursuing a master’s degree.
