Programs

Eligibility

Bachelor of Divinity (B.Div)

• Candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree from a recognised university to be eligible for a 4 year BD program

OR

• Candidate who has passed class 10+2 or have done diploma courses after class 10 will be considered for a 5 year BD program

OR

• Candidate who has attained 25 years of age, has 3 years ministerial experience, and has passed ‘Mature Candidate Entrance Exam’ will be eligible for 4 year BD program

Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) / Bachelor of Missiology (B.Miss)

• Candidates must have completed 18 years of age
• Candidate who has passed class 10+2 or has done diploma courses after class 10

OR

• Must have passed class 10 and should have done two years of study in a theological or secular institution and have experience in Christrian ministry or any public service

OR

• Candidate must have attained 25 years of age, has 3 years ministerial experience, and has passed ‘Mature Candidate Entrance Exam’

Bachelor of Bible Translation Studies (B.B.T.S)

• Candidates must have attained 18 years of age at the time of admission
• Candidates must have passed class 10 from a recognised board
• Candidates must have some ministerial exposure or experience in Bible translation works prior to admission

Bachelor of Christian Studies

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree from a recognised university
• Candidate should have passed class 10 and cleared matured candidate exam
• Candidate should have passed Diploma Christian Studies / Bachelor of Theology

Master of Theology (M.Th)

• Candidate who has passed the BD examination of the Senate of Serampore College in Second Class with B Grade (52% and above)

OR

• B.Th / B.C.S / B.Miss graduates of the Senate of Serampore College who have completed 2 years of BD program with a minimum of 52% marks

OR

• Candidate who holds a Theological Degree from the Senate of Serampore College
• Candidates must have 1 year of experience in some field of Christian service after passing the BD degree or equivalent examination

Master of Christian Studies (MCS)

• Candidates must have passed BCS / BD or any degree equivalent to BCS from a university recognised by the Senate of Serampore College
• Must have a ministerial work experience of minimum 5 years

Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MCP)

• Candidates must be graduates from a recognised university or B.Th / B.Miss / BD from the Senate of Serampore College
• ATA M.Div graduates on completing the Senate DCPC program will be eligible for the MCP course

Diploma in Worship and Music (DWM)

• Candidates must have passed class 10+2 examinations

OR

• Must have passed class 10 and completed a 2 year long Theological training 

OR

• Passed the class 10 and cleared the Mature Candidate Exam conducted by the Senate of Serampore College

OR

• Passed the B.Miss / B.Th / BD degree of Serampore College or its its recognised equivalent

OR

• Candidate who has a Bachelor’s degree and have 3 years of work experience in some form of Lay Ministry of the Church

Diploma in Clinical Pastoral Counselling (DCPC)

• Candidates must have passed the B.Miss / B.Th / BD degree of Serampore College or its its recognised equivalent
• Must have a 3 years of work experience in Pastoral Ministry
• Must have passed the Entrance Test and Interview conducted by the institution

OR

• Candidate who has a Bachelor’s degree and have 3 years of work experience in some form of Lay Ministry of the Church

Diploma in Christian Studies (Dip. C.S)

• Candidates must have completed 18 years of age at the time of enrolment
• Must have passed class 10+2 examinations

OR

• Passed class 10 with 3 years of work experience in Christian Ministry

Diploma in Christian Education (Dip. C.E)

• Candidates must have passed class 10+2 examinations from a recognised board

OR

• A pastor / any Christian worker who is involved in Christian Education

OR

• A lay leader / educator in the educational ministry of the church

OR

• Any Church member who is interested in the Christian Education

Diploma in Contextual Theology (Dip. C.T)

• Any member of the church who has completed class 10+2 examination

OR

• A person who is interested in exploring all the different aspects of the Christian faith

OR

• A person who wants to give his / her leadership to serve the church

Doctor of Theology (D.Th)

• Candidates must have obtained the M.Th degree with a minimum of ‘B’ grade

OR

• Candidates who hold an M.Phil / M.Litt degree in First or Second class from an Indian University

OR

• A candidate without a Serampore M.Th or an equivalent degree has previously published creative research of a high scholarly standard
• Candidates have to clear the entrance test followed by personal interview conducted by the Senate

Doctor of Ministry (D.Min)

• Candidates must have passed M.Th / BD / MCS degree from the Senate of Serampore College

OR

• Candidates with M.Div degree or its equivalent subject, passing of 4 subjects qualifying exam of the Senate with a minimum of 55% marks along with 5 years of Christian ministerial experience 

OR

• M.Th degree from ATA or its equivalent recognised by the Senate with 3 years of Christian ministerial experience

OR

• A minimum of 3 years of Christian ministerial experience after M.Th / MCS and 5 years after BD degree or its equivalent recognised by the Senate
• Candidates must pass the entrance test conducted by the Senate of Serampore College
