The Doon University, Dehradun facilitates residential amenities to both boys’ and girls’ separately. Moreover, to create a safe living environment for the students, the Doon University hostels have a multitude of vigilance cameras & trained security personnel.

• All the residents shall stay at their allocated rooms and cannot change the rooms without permission of their wardens. Additionally, it is mandatory for the students to vacate their occupied rooms at the end of an even semester.
• Students are not allowed to leave the University’s campus post 8:00 PM.
• While staying at the accommodations, students are not allowed to leave the hostels after 9:00 PM in winters & 10:00 PM in summers.
• In order to leave the accommodation complex for night stay, it is important for the inmates to seek approval from the wardens in advance.
• Hostellers need to sign the register in the hostel & main during exit and entry from the rooms.
• Ragging is prohibited at the hostel arena because it is one of the offensive acts. Wardens and other authorities have authority to expel or suspend if any of the boarder is found practicing such an act.
• Gambling, smoking, begging, drinking alcohol, and other such activities are banned within the hostels of the University.
• Heater, irons, ovens, e-kettles, or other electrical items are not allowed at the hostels.
• Students are restricted from cooking inside their hostel rooms.
• Hostellers are advised to keep their rooms clean and tidy. Also, the wardens have authority to check students’ rooms at any point of time.
• Do not keep heavy jewelry, cameras, firearms, music systems, etc. inside the rooms.

Around 3 multi-storied hostels are present at the Doon University Campus, out of which 2 are for female students and 1 is for male students; these are ‘Shiwalik Boys Hostel’, ‘Mandakini Girls Hostel’, and ‘Alaknanda Girls Hostel’. Additionally, within all these hostels, single sharing rooms are available for all the students. Also, the rooms present at the ground floor of the hostels are reserved for the especially abled students.
