The campus of Doon University straddles the Mothrowala Road that leads to the city of Dehradun. Dehradun is situated at a distance of approximately eight kilometers from the university campus. Doon University’s campus nestles in the foothills of the Shivalik Himalayas mountain range and alongside the bank of the Rispana River.
The founders of the university had initially wanted students to pursue the different study programs as resident students. However, in due course, the institution permitted students staying in its vicinity to apply for a program and study as a day scholar. The entire campus which is Wi-Fi compatible sprawls across an area of about 52.35 acres and bestrides the Dehradun-Mothrowala Road.
Doon University’s central library, which was instituted in 2009, comprises two broad sections-The Circulation Section and the Reading Section. Both the sections stock a vast collection of reference books, textbooks, almanacs, case studies, manuals, and reports. Students enrolled in the myriad PG/UG courses offered by the various schools of the study visit the circulation section for borrowing text and reference books.
The library also subscribes to 69 print and 126 e-journals that come in handy for promoting the research and pedagogic activities. Additionally, the library offers access to over 6000 e-magazines and periodicals via the INFLIBNET digital consortia. Doon University has playgrounds where students play a range of games including cricket, basketball, football, and badminton.
