Nehru Gram Bharati University, Prayagraj established in 1996 is a Deemed University. Nehru Gram Bharati University Prayagraj is approved by UGC, and is accredited by NAAC and NAAC-B. In the year 1996, Nehru Gram Bharati University was founded as Rajiv Gandhi Degree College and in 2000 it was upgraded to Rajiv Gandhi Post Graduate College. The UGC gave the status of Deemed to be University in 2008. It is accredited by NAAC.

The Training & Placement Cell of Nehru Gram Bharati University plays a very important role in finding better job opportunities for students by maintaining strong connections with leading firms and industries. The Cell conducts Career Guidance Programs for students from their first year in order to give them proper support and advice in choosing the right career for them. Multiple training programs such as Communication Skills, Mock Interviews, Workshops, Group Discussions, etc. are organised for students to keep them professionally trained and competent.
