Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya [RGPV], Bhopal established in 1998 is a State University, currently having 251-300 position in NIRF Ranking 2022. Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya - RGPV Bhopal also known by the name Rajiv Gandhi Technical University is providing quality education in the field of Management, Engineering, and Computer Application. The University was set up in the year 1998 following an act passed in the Madhya Pradesh Legislature. It got UGC approval as a State University and NAAC accreditation with “A” grade.

BE, B.Pharm, B.Arch, ME, M.Tech, M.Pharm, and Ph.D in various research areas are the courses offered by the university in diverse fields. These courses are run in the following Departments of the University:
Admission for both UG and PG courses are through centralised counseling administered by the University and Department of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Students can apply for admission to UG courses on the basis of the marks secured in the 10+2 exam and for PG courses on the basis of GATE / Non GATE merit marks.
Admissions for research level courses are through the Entrance Test (80% weightage) and Personal interview (20% weightage) conducted by the University. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the Ph.D. programs is a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in total or its equivalent grade in the related branch. 5% relaxation is permitted for SC / ST / OBC (non creamy layer) and differently-abled candidates. RAVP follows the reservation policy of the MP State Government.

Various scholarships are awarded to deserving candidates from reserved category and talented students of the university. Students belonging to reserved category classes whose annual family incomes are below 3 lac are eligible to receive MP Government Scholarship. Candidates pursuing UG courses and have secured minimum 90% marks in PCM and 80% marks in Arts / Commerce in 12th are eligible to apply for Merit Cum Means Scholarship. Some other scholarships provided by the university include AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme, AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme, AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme, etc.

The Placement activities in the university are managed by the Placement Cell. The university has a separate RGPV Career portal made to automate the placement activities. The portal serves as a communication between the potential recruiters and the students. The Portal also has an exclusive library comprising thousands of videos on skill development, personality development, and daily news and articles on career and placements. It helps the employer to connect easily and it also helps students in career planning, skill enhancement, and self marketing to acquire better job opportunities. The Placement Department in the university registers employers and posts job vacancies on the RGPV Career portal. Students through this portal can send their application to the employers for participation in on-campus / off-campus recruitment drives conducted by different employers.
By the efforts of the Training and Placement Department many companies have shown their interest in the campus placement of the university. RGPV Bhopal campus is spread over 241.14 acres of land and is located on four lane Risen-Narsingarh bypass main highway.
