Boys' hostels are as follows-

• Thakkesi 
  • The total capacity is 200 students.
• Panchamam 
  • Provides admission to 450 students.
• Marutham 
  • This hostel is dedicated to research scholars and can occupy 105 students. 

Girls' hostels that provide accommodation are-

• Kurinji 
  • 200 girls’ students can reside in the hostel.
• Mullai 
  • The total capacity is 450 students.
• Ambal 
  • Research scholars can get admission to this hostel which gives admission to 33 students.

The International Student hostel accommodates both boys and girls on separate floors.

Central University of Tamil Nadu hostel food is rich in nutrition. A balanced diet is provided under the supervision of the University or private party or a cooperative society. The three main meal timings are:

• Breakfast- 7.30 am to 8.30 am 
• Lunch- 12.30 pm to 2 pm 
• Dinner- 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm

• Ragging in any form is a severe offense.
• Smoking, drinking alcohol, chewing and spitting pans and consumption of narcotic drugs are strictly prohibited.
• Gambling and forming associations based on religion, caste, or creed are punishable.
• Any damage to the hostel property will not be entertained.
• Male students entering female hostels or vice-versa are not permitted.
• The hostel authority is not liable for any act of misbehavior, mishandling, or group fighting outside the hostel premises.
• Cooking food in the hostel room is not allowed.
• Any student suffering from a contagious disease is not allowed admission.
• Electronic appliances should be kept switched off when not in use.
• The bathroom, common room, mess hall, staircase, and surroundings must be kept clean.
• Television and radio volumes are to be kept low after 10 pm.
• No disturbance from visitors or guests is allowed.
• Social gatherings, celebrations, or organizing functions without permission from the hostel authority is punishable.
• Rooms cannot be exchanged, once allotted.
• Slogan singing, pasting posters, or willful damage to the harmony is a serious offense.
• The inhabitants are responsible for their belongings and any loss is not the liability of the hostel.
• Students are not allowed to leave the hostel gate before 5 am and should enter the premises by last 10.15 pm.
• Only the concerned warden can grant leaves.
• Visitors aren't allowed to enter hostel rooms.
• The furniture and fittings should be handled carefully.
• Hostel authorities can at any time inspect the room without notice.
• Vandalism is considered punishable by the hostel management.
• If any student is found missing from the hostel, strict disciplinary action may be taken against him/her.
• Violation of any rule is an act of negligence and indiscipline.
