Sangam University

Sangam University has the vision to excel in education with management, humanities, technical development, and research. The purpose of the Training & Placement Cell at the university is to assist and prepare students to select the appropriate career through a process of knowledge exchange, skill development, aptitude training during their program of study. The cell engages in activities focused on technological advances, skills, and preparation for competitive exams and makes sure students get internships and employment. The cell has hosted a session on promoting agricultural entrepreneurship with industry experts for students.

The cell has been successful in establishing connections with prestigious companies including Wipro, Syntel, Extra Marks, Vedantu, D Mart, Max Bupa, Reliance, HDFC Bank, CRM Next, India Mart, and V2Solutions. The placement records are excellent and 70% of students often get offers on campus. Many students choose to pursue higher education at esteemed universities after passing their degrees at Sangam. The recent placement data shows that MBA students were placed in Tata AIG, Brand Samosa and engineering students got offers from Hidden Talent, AG Tech, Innovatech, TCS etc. Top recruiters at Sangam are Indigo, HCL, Dish TV, Capgemini, Ashok Leyland, Genpact, IBM, Qatar Airways, L&T, Lenskart, Axis, Accenture, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra etc.            

INTERNSHIPS: At the university, internships are a required part of the curriculum for the majority of the courses. Students who get internships also get exposure to many businesses. The following is the internship programme for several courses:

1. For B. Tech, MCA, and M.Sc. geo informatics (Final Year Students): Internships are usually from Jan to May during Final semester.
2. Summer Internship: It includes BBA-LLB, BA-LLB, BCA, BBA, diploma, MBA, and M.Sc. in chemistry. Students in the pre-final year are eligible and 45 days is the minimum period. The training period is usually between the months of June to July.
3. International Internships: Any student may use the TP Cell at affiliated colleges to apply for an international internship. For foreign experience in the fields of data mining, marketing, and international business, students specifically travelled to Regenesys Business School in South Africa, and Oklahoma State University in the USA.

The college also has a cell related to entrepreneurship development with the aim to help students in setting up business plan. The industry professionals and faculty members help in mentoring the students. The university has networking with financial institutions. It has established connections with business leaders, startup professionals, and others.

Sangam University spans 40 acres of land. The campus has large, open classrooms with well-equipped labs as an addition. The campus is covered with green gardens, which offers clean air and which gives peace of mind to students.

Library: The total library area at the campus is 1225 sq meters. The central library offers a great setting for studying with easy access to reading rooms and printed and electronic resources. The library has IETE journals of research along with many rare books like Brahma sutras. It also includes a full digital library to support students' learning. More than 45K volumes covering more than 6,000 titles may be easily searched and kept track of thanks to cutting-edge software. The University also has subscriptions to online journals from the IEE (Electronic Library) as well as NPTEL courses from the IIT, Madras.

Computing Labs: The University has built an infrastructure and installed equipment to offer the best technical education. The PCB Design Lab, Microwave Engineering Lab, Software Engineering Lab, Multimedia Lab, PSDL, High Voltage Lab, Language Lab, ERP Lab, etc. are only a few of them. Computer centres are made to better prepare students to handle new problems in the rapidly changing IT industry. More than 650 computers with the most recent software are available in computer laboratories. The labs are permanently connected to the Internet so that students can use high-speed internet connectivity.

Staff residence: The instructors and staff at the university have enough amenities and residential area to live comfortably on campus. They have decent and clean area with lodging and ATM, gym, sports complex are all nearby. There are guest houses for visiting professors and faculties at the university.

Hostels: Sangam University provides students a relaxing stay in its residence hostel. Male and female students can stay in separate hostels that have 24-hour security. The hostels have tea in the evenings and 3 veg meals that are nutritionally balanced (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The kitchens in hostels are well-equipped and serve most hygienic veg food. Students gain a lot of experience making friends and participating in social activities on our campus.

Cafeteria: The students can have balanced and rich veg meals at the cafeteria and mess, which are close to the hostel. There are around 100+ seats available in the dining area to have meals together. A cafeteria which is next to the mess serves snacks and beverages. Another cafe with fast foods, desserts, juice, and ice cream is located next to the mess.

Gym: To help students keep active and healthy, the university includes a complete gym with the newest body-building equipment and treadmills. All day long, instructors and trainers are ready to train students, faculty, and staff.

Clubs: To encourage cultural awareness among the younger generation, the Cultural Club named Samvardhan was established. The Literary Club was established to help students with reading habits. It also helps in building spoken and written language skills. The green and social club helps students promote a clean and green campus in the best way possible. The Photography Club encourages anyone who enjoys taking pictures to use the camera to express their ideas.

Sports Complex: Both inside and outside the university, athletics and games are a significant factor in improving an institution's name. The sports club at the campus brings students together and fosters a great teamwork spirit among students. Sports complex has courts for tennis, BB, badminton, yoga, and an indoor TT facility. Students take part in intercollegiate, interuniversity, and state-level competitions.
