JK Lakshmipat University courses number is around 15 and admissions to its courses is either merit based or entrance based. Apart from national level entrances, the university has its own entrance in EET. Students who haven’t appeared for national level entrances can still be eligible for admissions here if they appear for the university entrance test. Besides entrance too, there is a minimum eligibility criterion for all its courses. For UG courses, the students should have passed 12th with minimum 50% aggregate and for PG courses, graduate with minimum 50% aggregate.
JK Lakshmipat University admissions have become sought-after as most of its courses ranks among the top courses. The courses maybe limited here but have enough specializations to choose from. 94 and above in class 10+2 gets 100% waiver in academic as well as hostel fee. This is for the students of 1st round, students who apply for the scholarships in subsequent rounds, the percentage count increases from 94 to 97. Likewise, students scoring 89 to 94, 84 to 89, and 80 to 84 gets 75, 50, and 25% scholarships.
There’s a relaxation in terms of percentage of 2% for girl students, kids of defence personnel, Students of UTs (Other than Delhi) and North East students, ST/SC/PH, and students applying for B. Tech, or ECE & M.E.

JKLU placements are nothing but real high-class. University’s placement department and career guidance department assists students in exploring exciting and new career options so that students make the best choice. The placement department makes sure that students are prepared well and should enjoy the process of placement. To start-off, industry visits are organized which are followed by various on-campus training activities. All the three institutes’ students are taken in loop while inviting the companies at the campus. Students are given ample opportunities so that they can interact first with the potential recruiters and then plan the inroads accordingly.
As soon as the students enter their second last semester, they are allowed to be a part of periodic campus interviews which can help them get recruited or sign for an internship with their preferred industry. Students get many valuable insights about the working of a specific organisation. All the companies in the pre placement talk give their mission and vision and what all qualities and scores are they looking for in the candidates. The average package offered to UG students of JKLU was 3.2 LPA and average package offered to PG students of JKLU was 3.6 LPA in 2020. Hostels – There’s a multi-storey girl and two boys’ hostel at the campus. The rooms are available in single and double occupancy. The learning models are application based and provide opportunities to grasp the knowledge practically with the help of state of the art labs, Center for Entrepreneurship and innovation, practice schools, immersive internship, and industry interface. The University believes that multidisciplinary learning is important such as liberal Art is necessary to build expertise in management and core technical domains.
There is a library or learning resource center, which is the center for the wide collection of books related to engineering, technology, and management. It is present in a multi-story building with an impressive collection of corporate and technical reports, publications, IEEE ASPP, DELNET ProQuest management, and POP plan. There are three zones in the Learning Resource Center, such as Individual zone, collaborative zone, and Social zone. The individual zone provides a silent atmosphere for studies. The collaborative zone is near the e-library to encourage collaboration, discussion, and other activities. The Social zone offers leisure seating for social activities.
As the center of learning, JKLU offers various courses. A candidate who wants to take admission in B.Tech must have a qualified national level test of engineering or appear in Engineering Entrance Test conducted by JKLU. Candidate needs to appear in national levels design test such as NID DAT, UCEED, or entrance exam of the university for admission in B.Des. Admission in BBA is done through counseling, followed by an interview.
For admission in MBA, the candidate will be shortlisted according to the score in CAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA. Shortlisted candidates must qualify two interviews, and final selection will be made by merit. Admission in M.Sc and M.A will be done according to the aptitude assessment and personal interview. For admissions in M.Tech, preference is given to GATE qualified candidates. Vacant seats are filled as per the merit in qualifying examination. Candidate has to qualify entrance examination for admission in Ph.D. Those who have passed SET/NET/GATE or equivalent examination need to appear in the entrance exam conducted by the University.
