DAV University is a part of DAV committee, which is one of India’s largest non govt educational institutes. UGC, a statutory body of the GOI, has officially recognised DAV University. BCI has approved the 5 years integrated B.A. LL.B (Hons.) course and legal studies. The Punjab State Legislature founded DAV University as a full-fledged institution for learning. The eligibility criteria for every course are distinct and listed below:
Engineering courses: Those who are looking to take admission in the B.Tech streams should have passed their class XII with 50% with PCM for chemical degree, Physics and Maths for CSE, ME, Civil, ECE, and EE as compulsory subjects. For M.Tech courses students must have an engineering degree with 50% in the respective field.
Computer applications courses: For BCA courses students should have done their 12th class with 50% and for MCA they should have done their graduation in B.Sc, BCA or B.Tech with 50%. To pursue B.Sc in CS students need to have PCM at their class XII level.
B.Sc/M.Sc (Hons): 50% at XII level for bachelor’s degree and same goes for master’s degree but students should have passed their UG in any stream. Students can do honors in any of the PCM subjects at UG and PG level.
BBA/MBA courses: 50% needed in 12th class for BBA course as well as 50% is the requirement in the graduation for MBA course to take admission. For PG in International Business the same is the requirement at UG level.
B.Sc B.Ed/ BA B.Ed: These courses are of 4 years at UG level where students need to have 60% at Class XII level.
Physical Education Courses: To do a 2 years of B.P.Ed students need 50% at 10+2 level along with at least taking part in intercollegiate, regional, district competitions. For M.P.Ed students should have completed the B.P.Ed/B.Sc. in physical education with at least 50% marks.
BA LLB: It is a 5 year course and to take admission here students need to have 45% in their class XII.
For PhD students: A professional or a master’s degree with at least 55% overall marks or its equivalent grade B as determined by the UGC. Students who have done their M.Phil degree with 55% can move on to do their Ph.D. research. A 5% relaxation is available to sc/st/obc/differently abled or other backward classes as per the government rules.
NOTE: For all the courses that are listed above students who are from SC/ST castes have an upper edge as they get 5% relaxation.

Campus placement activities are managed by the Training & Placement Cell, which has made infrastructure like a seminar room.
