Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (MSCB University) was established in 1998. It was formerly known as North Orissa University (NOU). The University is NAAC accredited and approved by UGC. It is recognised by BCI and NCTE. It is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

* Additional weightage marks are awarded to the students who are NCC, NSS, Sports and Games, Rovers & Rangers achievers.
Documents Required:
The students of MSCBU Baripada can avail scholarships from the State Government. The scholarships are provided based on their +2 and +3 merit scores in Arts / Commerce / Science disciplines.
PG Merit Scholarship can be availed by the post graduate students from the State Government. The University also grants National Scholarships.

The University has a dedicated Career & Counselling Cell. It provides counselling to the students and assists them in choosing suitable career paths. It has strong connections with the HRs of leading companies, employment agencies, and the Alumni association of the University.
